DougRichards Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 I grew up, as did many of my generation, suffering from Airfixation......
Stuart Galbraith Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 Ive still got a 1-48 TSR2 in the box upstairs. I WILL get around to it at some point...
RETAC21 Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 I had them building some paper-like models last week and the loved it. Little by little, they are being nudged in the right direction...
Chris Werb Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 Ive still got a 1-48 TSR2 in the box upstairs. I WILL get around to it at some point... With that kind of kit, I start thinking about where I would store the completed kit before purchasing, and never purchase!
Stuart Galbraith Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 You are clearly wiser than me Chris. Ive just started to try and finish a Tamiya 1-32 scale Tomcat I started about 20 years ago, but never got around to finishing it. Now I have to figure out where I put it when its finished.

I would always think of how I would smuggle the thing into the house without my wife finding out about it and how much it cost......

Did you finish the Tomcat? I have the Matchbox 1/72 Flower about 1/3 built, that I last worked on 10 years ago but started in 1995. Just to find sufficient space to work on it is a problem, and now I would have to wash 10 years of dust off it. But Greyhound may have inspired me.
Stuart Galbraith Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Sort of. Its about 95 percent done, I need to put some more decals on it. Infuriatingly I found that Tamiya that day changed all the decals that should be yellow into Orange, which means that for VF84, Im going to have to redo some of the markings. Im tempted to just clearcote it and be done. But yeah, it looks pretty nice, Ill have to put some photos up sometime.
