M53s in active units were used with original German M42 tripod, while domestic one M52 (identical except it lacked mounting for an optical sight) was used with MG-42 in reserve role.

No info.

Structure checks from a two different sources, but there are still some doubts about exact weapon allocations - AT company, engineer company and artillery batteries should have more SMGs if we follow general plan for organization of other such formations. Through it might be that those "rear-area" units had less SMGs in the Naval Infantry Bde since Naval Infantry Bns were pure SMG based ones.
