Well, Mon Ami, a question: Who are the 'Western Looking' Troops the Hussars 'bowl over'? I recognize 'classic/cliche' Ottoman troops but who are those other guys-the cannoneers and arquebussers? toysoldier Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 That's from another movie i fear. But the charging hussaria are mostly from The Day of the Siege.
wendist Posted December 7, 2018 Posted December 7, 2018 This movie: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Day_of_the_Siege:_September_Eleven_1683That's about the only part worth seeing. Well, Mon Ami, a question: Who are the 'Western Looking' Troops the Hussars 'bowl over'? I recognize 'classic/cliche' Ottoman troops but who are those other guys-the cannoneers and arquebussers? The Grenadiers in blue uniforms that can be seen a minute into the video are probably Swedish, the insignia on the front of the caps looks like the one used by swedish king Karl XII (Charles XII). The soldiers seen at the end of the video, dressed in blue and with a flag that looks suspiciously "swedish" could be swedes as well but I don't see any markings that would help to positively identify them. There were no swedish forces present at the battle of Vienna but if the video is made up of footage from more than one movie then those scenes could be from a number of different battles.
sunday Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 And now, a certain Filipino law professional is in danger of suffering a heart attack...
Panzermann Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 (edited) What is interesting with the japanese soldier is, that she has a weird intonation. Kind of a mix of japanese and american accents. And yeah, sunday, you are very mean to endanger our resident filipino waifu expert. Edited January 12, 2019 by Panzermann

Reminded me somewhat of the opening credits of second Indiana Jones flick. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1H9eKWPGRo

BansheeOne Posted February 17, 2019 Author Posted February 17, 2019 I think we haven't had Alice in Chains' Vietnam flashbacks yet.
Stuart Galbraith Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 (edited) They're awesome. Im seriously going to have to think about putting these on my F14 walkman. This was pretty good as well. Edited March 26, 2019 by Stuart Galbraith
sunday Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 We were listening to them during the South England I&I. I think Allan went to itunes to buy some songs.
Stuart Galbraith Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 I notice they sell them on Amazon (amazingly), im clearly going to have to stock up on their albums. They arent just funny as hell, they are really good musicians.
BansheeOne Posted July 23, 2019 Author Posted July 23, 2019 German rap of usual mediocrity, but shot in part at one of those sites which let you drive various armored vehicles, with some CGI enhancement. Probably not Zuffenhausen despite the station sign shown in some scenes, which is the location of Porsche's headquarters; more likely to provide the usual "flex" of sports cars for that kind of clip. I keep trying to find a clip of the beginning of "Sunshine on Leith", the movie, with "Sky takes the Soul", but so far the best I came up with is a rehearsal for the stage musical.
BansheeOne Posted December 21, 2019 Author Posted December 21, 2019 Psychedelic warfare (some way in)!
Stuart Galbraith Posted December 21, 2019 Posted December 21, 2019 Ok, this one is cheating. I noticed the other day Uriah Heep had their album 'Salisbury' dating from 1971, feature what appears to be a Mk2 Chieftain tank on the Cover. Because, Salisbury, Salisbury Plain training area I guess.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7Zeo-KfO70 Dont know if I like it or not. Its got a Spinal Tap 'Stonehenge' vibe to it, so naturally I should approve.
