Thank you, then the logical question is "Who is making the decision about U.S. government fails or not in its responsibility of establishing U.S. borders?" As far as i understand, Gov is insisting borders are ok.

The determination of U.S. government failure on border control is the number of illegal immigrants, or as the Democratic Party and its followers state these illegal immigrants as "Undocumented Immigrant" or occasionally as "Undocumented American." Compared to past years, there has been a huge increase in the number of illegal immigrants annually during the last three years. This as lead to states such as Texas transporting large number of said immigrants to "sanctuary cities" where there presence is straining some private, but mostly local governmental resources.

The reason Democrats are in favor of increasing the number of illegal immigrants is that they will register said illegals as Democrats to try to increase vote totals to stay in political power.

Yes, that's all common sense, but the legal assessment is probably quite different.

Hypothesis; Gov. Abbott started TRT this year.

Supporting Data; he was channeling Quisling during Covid, but now his foreign policy looks like Charles Martel.

Well, Kaganovich and Sotomayor don't surprise me

Well the wind is pretty blowing pretty well right now, but the temps are not supposed to drop too much.  This upcoming week is going to suck, suck, suck.  I foresee a LOT of Advil and Aleve being consumed.  I had forgotten what a PITA it is to move.  FARK!  On the upside we found things that we had not been able to find for a long time.

Also to local Sheriff's race is getting....interesting.  The opposition candidate's son just got arrested for using a county credit card to put gas in his personal vehicle.  And the same candidate's main supporter is slinging a lot of mud, but problem is, I worked with him, and the guy is not only a show pony, but has farked up two murder cases that I was there for (I had no hand in either, and now they are cold cases when they could have been solved within 48 hours).

A Texas man was arrested after he allegedly posed as a minor in order to lure a registered sex offender and kill him.

James Spencer III, 22, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder after shooting 37-year-old registered sex offender Sean Showers.

KPRC-TV reported Spencer “Took matters into his own hands because he didn’t believe police were doing enough to keep child predators behind bars and wanted to harm them.”

Appears to have happened in the Houston area.

They're probably wondering what the hell Jose meant when he told them they could walk into the US and get a pass and a cash card...

Not proud of this:

It shows that the one thing they fear is an armed citizen, who was sadly the school shøøter.

Murph, I hate to say this but officers like that are why police are going to find that qualified immunity is going to be dialed down. There's sufficient caselaw to say that such behavior in a public forum is NOT an arrest-able offense. I'm getting to the point that for things like that, the officers need to lose their job or their leadership does for such actions.

The 1st amendment and the caselaw is rather clear. Being arrested for saying bad words in a public forum should expose the government officials who direct the arrest AND The police directly involved in civil penalties if not criminal penalties. Same as if I had walked up and exerted force on an officer because I didn't like the way he parted his hair.

Agreed, and yes I suspect what little qualified immunity is going to get pared back even further.  I told rookies that when we take step too far, we lose some of our protections, so always follow the law.  Never make case law if you can help it, especially BAD case law.
