You know, I remember that flood.  I was working when it happened, and I almost lost my patrol car (and myself) in a sudden flash event on Highway 46.  I have never seen so much rain so quickly.

It was scary.  My parents had a house on the Guadalupe (River Oaks subdivision).  The river was, I estimate, 30+ feet higher than normal and the little canyon down to my parent's house had more water going through it than the Guadalupe usually had.  The water was lapping at the foundation of their garage.  If it had continued to rise the only thing I would have been able to do was climb the hill to get out of the canyon.

Canales was driving on an access road for Interstate 10 East in San Antonio, Texas at 9:30 pm on August 20th when she heard what she described as a "glass explosion." A few seconds later she realized what happened. A metal spear was thrown at her Toyota Avalon, piercing the windshield before being stopped by the steering column. She wasn't hurt by the spear and managed to bring her car to a stop without incident. Canales called the police who arrived and pulled the spear from her vehicle, but not before Canales managed to document the aftermath on TikTok. Besides the broken windshield, the Toyota Avalon made it through the attack with no malfunctions.

In a statement to MotorTrend, San Antonio Police Department Officer Ricardo Guzman said Canales "did not see the suspect who threw the spear, and the assault was unprovoked. There are no known suspects currently. This is still an active investigation."

I was there, I was on duty, and I almost lost my car and possibly my life getting caught in the wall of water that came down Highway 46.  I have never seen water come up so far so fast, and we had people refuse to get out until it almost because too late.  I saw the epitome of selflessness and heroics from the citizens, to some of the most utterly stupid acts I never wanted to see again.  12-16 hour shifts for weeks till we started having Deputies falling asleep driving.  2002 was close, but not near as bad.

Me, too, it was just one of those "Wow" events.

Didn't happen to have a "# me too" "movement" did you? You don't have to admit, er, answer 😲

lol! :D:D   Yeah, it was almost "Me Too" floating down the Guadalupe River!  I have a very very healthy respect for fast moving water.

Ok, they impeached Ken Paxton, turned him in to the FBI, and under oath, the "star witness" states they had no evidence at all!??  WTF?  OMFG, did they do any real investigation?  I know they hate Paxton, but good grief, if there was solid evidence, the FBI would have already shipped him off to Guantanamo Bay.  Holy incompetence!  If I had submitted a case like that I would have been blown out of the County Attorney's Office.  This reeks now of: "Ok We got him, We got Him!  Do we have any evidence?  Nah, lets make this sh*t up!"

As of yesterday, no evidence of ANY provable crime introduced.  Wow, this is really embarrassing to the Bush wing of the party.

I can tell this is a big fake nothing burger by the fact that the local very liberal KSAT news has stopped covering it.  That says volumes about how fake this whole impeachment really is in real life.  I suspect if they had let some real investigators do the job, they would have found actual crimes.  Not made up Democrat like fake charges.

A Rangers Ranger,  M.T. "Lone Wolf" Gonzaullas in his car.  Ranger Gonzaullas lived with one of my great aunts during the Kilgore Oil Boom in the 1930's when he was one of the only Rangers in Kilgore.  His "Trot Line" was infamous.  He stretched anchor chain around the block, and would shackle people to it, and let them go if they agreed to get out of town in an hour.  A tougher time, and needed.  Kilgore went from 800 to 10,000 people in three days!  He had the trigger guards of his Colt 1911's cut off for faster access.   No one really knows how many people he shot and killed in gunfights, he was NOT the Ranger you wanted to try and draw down on.

Born in Cádiz, Spain, from Spanish father and Canadian mother. Only Spaniard that was a Texas Ranger, according to a local newspaper.

In my limited experience, Houston traffic is bad. As the joke goes, Houston is two hours from Houston.

Honorably acquitted, after a sham impeachment orchestrated by the Bush family, RINOs, and Democrats.  Now its time for revenge.  George P can now let his bar card lapse once more.

I had a suspicion that the case against Paxton was hinkey. Having an affair, I agree he shouldn't be in office. But the other stuff seemed to be opinion, not facts.

Have you noticed that, lately, opinions that conform to the Narrative are considered as facts by your run-of-the-mill SJW?

Of course. Beliefs trump objective, documented facts.
