Ivanhoe Posted April 12, 2025 Posted April 12, 2025 Not a cop, but judges are part of the system... https://nypost.com/2025/04/10/us-news/pa-judge-sonya-mcknight-convicted-of-shooting-sleeping-boyfriend-in-the-head/ Quote A Pennsylvania judge accused of shooting her ex-boyfriend in the head while he slept may spend decades behind bars — as she was convicted of attempted homicide and aggravated assault charges Wednesday. After two hours of deliberations, a jury convicted Sonya M. McKnight, a magisterial judge in Dauphin County, on both charges she faced — one count of attempted murder and one count of aggravated assault. Quote The shooting unfolded in February 2024 after McKnight’s then-boyfriend, Michael McCoy, 54, attempted to end their one-year relationship and asked her to move out of his home. McKnight allegedly agreed to go — but later that evening, McCoy was awoken by a “massive head pain” and was blind. During the trial, he testified that he couldn’t see after the shooting but that McKnight was the only other person home at the time. Hell hath no fury... Quote McKnight had a previous altercation with her estranged husband, Enoch McKnight, in 2019 during which she shot him in the groin after asking him to help her move furniture. The couple married in 2014 but had filed for divorce two years later. However, the divorce was still pending at the time of the shooting, which was ruled to be self-defense as the pair were in the midst of a domestic dispute.
rmgill Posted April 14, 2025 Posted April 14, 2025 Yep. Don’t get arrested in Fulton County. The jail is awful.
Murph Posted April 14, 2025 Posted April 14, 2025 Most jails really do suck. I had to go into ours almost daily, and it had its own "smell" that is just impossible to describe until you actually smell it. Prisons have the same type of unique smell. Nope, no thanks.
Murph Posted April 14, 2025 Posted April 14, 2025 A good description of many Texas Sheriff's Departments even today: You Might Be A Rural Texas Peace Officer if; If your hat, belt and boots cost more than your sidearm. (AND they have to match) If you know what a 'court gun' is. If you have a 'court gun'. If directions to a location involve livestock, property descriptions, or the words "When you get off the pavement." If the winner of the last three bar room brawls was last years Homecoming Queen. (Not far from the truth) If dressing up for court involves pressed Wranglers and a Brushpopper shirt. (I wore pressed and starched Wranglers every day at work). If anyone on the Department is named 'Bubba'. If you don't know Bubba's real name. If Bubba is his real name. If you've ever gotten a confession from a critter by threatening him with either his Mama or God. (Seen this happen). If your interview for the job involved the question: "Can you take a whuppin'?" Or: What kind of beer do you drink? (Correct Answer is: Cold real question that got asked back in the day). If you have more weapons and ammunition in your cruiser than most small nations have in their armies. If you've ever had an 'Officer Involved Shooting' where the victim was a feral hog or other four-pawed critter with an appetite. (BTDT) If the calibre of your sidearm is regarded as an artillery round in Europe. If you've ever had to mediate a dispute concerning the paternity of a litter of puppies (or children). If you have the impression that the Feds regard your department as being marginally more civilized than the Viking Hordes. If you think all back-up is 30 miles away and asleep in bed. (Yep, BTDT) If you’ve ever installed a police radio in your John Deere tractor. (Real story, it actually happened! AND he responded to back up another deputy).

Yes, and the vast majority of them are shit holes thanks to 60 years or more of entrenched democrat mismanagement, malfeasance, and corruption. The ones that are not are usually populated by whites with very very tiny minority populations. But don't fret, you guys are changing that. Edited April 14, 2025 by Mr King
PaulFormerlyinSaudi Posted April 15, 2025 Posted April 15, 2025 Now wouldn't it have just been easier to say you dislike Black people rather than going through all this charade of saying you dislike people who live in cities? Wouldn't that just be more honest? Still, I am glad we could work together to find the real issue.

You cant prove me wrong so you call me a racist while alluding to some unmentioned "real issue" while being unable to address the actual issues at hand. But to be honest I don't give a rusty fuck if the likes of you think I am racist. Accusations of racism is all people like you have to hide behind.

You go nose blind to the smell. Although there are two units in the one I work. All I tell the wife is I worked units five or six and she has fresh clothes and the shower waiting when I get home. They are the short term and long term psychiatric wings. It's usually not toothpaste and gravy we have to clean of the cameras we just hope it is.

Ignore him, he has to obfuscate and tell untruths because otherwise he would have to face the destruction the Communist/Democrat party has wrought on this country. He does not realize that once they got power, he and his fellow travelers and useful idiots would be the first put up against the wall.

Problem is that it is really difficult to describe that peculiar smell to people who have not experienced it.

rmgill Posted April 15, 2025 Posted April 15, 2025 I am sure Paul lives in the ghetto. And not some noice neighbourhood like Sterling, VA or Owings Mills, Md.
Murph Posted April 15, 2025 Posted April 15, 2025 I am sure he is definately in Da Hood, hanging with the homies for street cred.

My problem working in burn and septic wards was you get nose blind and exhausted and then make the mistake of getting take out or groceries on your way home and suddenly realize that you are carrying that stench with you. Right up there with being pulled over after marathon surgery and suddenly realizing that you have dried blood soaked into your hair and on your face and it's 2 AM on a Saturday morning. . .
Murph Posted April 15, 2025 Posted April 15, 2025 Dead bodies have the same effect. I came home one day after a REALLY bad decomp, and my wife ordered me into the garage to strip, bagged everything, took the clothes straight to the washer, dumped in the white vinegar, and ran three wash cycles. I had to shower twice to get all the funk of dead body out of my hair, skin, etc, then neti pot thrice to clear the sinuses. White vinegar works really really well in getting out the stink from clothing. A buddy and I had just been to a really bad one, and made the mistake of going to eat, since WE could no longer smell us, but we cleared the Schlotzky's of its patrons in a hurry. Guy had been dead in 100+ heat for going on four days....

Sorry for the thread drift, but I was reading the other day that vinegar in a washer can be very bad for it, especially in high efficiency front load models because there is not enough water to dilute it to safe levels.

rmgill Posted April 25, 2025 Posted April 25, 2025 Tim Pool is suspecting some of these judges have been in bed with the organized crime for some time.
