Because Trump 2.0

Seeking peace through violence is like fucking for virginity.

In other news, Bannon is out - I guess he got sick of winning. Really looking forward to the schism between the Make America Great Again Front and Again Make America Great Front. Splitters, splitters everywhere!

He just said in an interview today that he is going to war for Trump, not against him.

Which would be even more disruptive to trying to push anything from Trump's side - he had a member of the staff attacking other members of the staff, now he will have an outsider attacking members of the staff supposedly on his behalf. If he defends them, sooner or later it will transform into a war against him from Breitbart. If he does not defend them, it will turn into a war against him from his staff or even more resignations at the least. Unless he focuses on Democrats, but then why leave? And his recent track record suggests he has more beef with "insiders" than with "outsiders" so he probably would not resist the temptation for long ;)

Is it me or is the Trump Cabinet like that of the Ottoman Sultans? Various factions struggling for influence and power?

If he were a Democrat, they'd be singing the praises of his nimbleness at creating a Team of Rivals Since he's a Republican, it's CHAOS! Frankly, like most/all previous administrations, I think he's making it up as he goes along and I find it a bit dizzying.

So Breitbart having some level of animus against certain persons belonging to the administration will be different from the rest of the press how?

More so than they already are?.....

That being said I find it noteworthy that several hundred alt-rightists are, according to somewhat widespread consensus here, just that: a few hundred idiots among some 100 million republican voters, while an arbitrary pastor or some 200 alt-leftists are representative of "the left".

So here's the thing. When Agent Orange, aka Donald Trump, spoke about the alt-right and the alt-left, CNN quickly pointed out that there is no "alt-left." It would then follow that if there is no "alt-left" the violence, hate, and vitriol put on public display by the likes of Antifa, BLM, Workers World Party et al, are in fact the mainstream left.

Indeed

I'm not quite sure what a documentation/news article about antifa makes you agree that antifa is "the left" but that's probably just my problem.

I'm sorry, I tried to answer that one but couldn't find where "CNN quickly pointed out that there is no "alt-left.". Where did you read that? No, I don't dispute it per se, but I'd like to see the original soure before answering.

What a bunch of idiots. "Lets hold tiki torches and make national socialists salutes, that will make the minorities leave!"

I am and was always especially amused about the hilarious idea of what these few humptydumpties demand of minorities. Other minorities, that is.

The right has condemned the alternative right from the get go... antifa does not get that treatment from the left. Though the left is busy wearing pussyhats in a women's March organized by a Sharia loving Saudi to notice tbh.

I got several problems with your argumentation here:

1) what do you mean by "from the get go"? Some alt-right positions 2017 were official state policy well into the 1960s, at least in the southern USA. So I'm not quite sure where you like to position this "get go".

2) Who exactly are those "right", "alt-right", "left" and "alt-left". Before we should continue to discuss I'd generally like to have some more specific definitions than "you know what I mean".

3) which demonstration are you referring to? As they seem to pop up like mushrooms recently it's hard to find a specific one among all the noise.

CNN changed the headline because ANTIFA didnt like it. ANTIFA is simply members of the mainstream left motivated enough at the moment to carry out political violence that the majority of the left sympathizes with.

Except they do. While many of you leftists would agree that some of your groups are extreme, you allow that their protests are righteous, the cause noble, therefore the violence should be tolerated.

Evidently there is some serious confusion on the left. Whoever heard of a Jew loving Nazi as depicted in the video of this article?

BTW, if Antifa et al aren't violent, why the pleas for no violence?

Why are these little heroes masked and carrying protective (and offensive) gear?

I don't recall the much maligned Tea Party demonstrations having any of that...

green-bay-tea-party-picture.jpg

Yes but the Tea Party where literally terrorists and the Taliban for daring to hold peaceful and lawful demonstrations.

Just like most of your tinfoil-hat-level assertions.

Enough of that, though. Care to elaborate on where you're getting the claim a 'majority of the left sympathizes with' Antifa?

FFS, DKTanker, this shit again?

First, where in the world are you getting I'm a leftist? Second, where did I say Antifa wasn't violent?

Just like every other time you've gone off the deep end ('someone disagrees with me SO THEY MUST BE THE EXTREME OPPOSITE END OF THE SPECTRUM') I'll be waiting patiently for you to provide my posts where you've come to these conclusions. Just like every other time I won't see a damned thing to support it.

Rioter Who Toppled Confederate Statue In Durham May Receive Scholarship

The student charged with pushing down the Confederate statue in Durham, North Carolina on Monday may be rewarded with a scholarship for her actions from North Carolina Central University.
The Chronicle of Higher Education reported on Wednesday that proposals are being made at the college to award Takiyah Thompson, who has been charged with two felonies—participation in a riot and inciting others to riot—for her actions.
News that Thompson was involved in the demonstration was reportedly met with widespread support from campus faculty and students in her Introduction to Political Science class.
“I saw the demonstration and the toppling of the monument. I think it’s a healthy thing for students to have a voice and to be leaders in activism,” said Jim C. Harper II, chair of the history department. “We’re going to do everything we can to support Ms. Thompson.”
Her professor, Allan Cooper, said that the entire class applauded when he revealed to them that Thompson was the person charged with toppling the statue. Following the news, Cooper sent an email to the chair to propose giving Thompson a scholarship.
Thompson wasn’t the only person involved in vandalizing the Confederate statue, which was dedicated to the boys who died in the Civil War, but she was the among the few rioters identified in video footage.
Scott Holmes, a professor at NCCU’s law school, is legally representing Thompson and other rioters who were arrested, pro bono.
“She is an inspiration to watch,” said Holmes. “She gave a brilliant interview, was arrested, came out and had a big smile on her face. She is resilient and smart and knows she’s done something that has awakened the conversation around race.”
Other professors at NCCU are reportedly raising money to cover the legal costs for the rioters.

So your Information basically stems from headlines? Hint: theres more to an articel than the headline, though I will readily admit, and am quite annoyed by, the clickbaiting by sensationally overblown headlines.

Btw, I still saw the "peace by through violence" addendum, and it's exactly what those militants claim. The militants, *not* CNN. Which would've gotten quite clear if you'd have watched the film. indeed, what the film really shows is footage of massive property damage mixed with interviews of those idiots who try to rationalize it.

But then again it is not clear wether the footage really was from actions of the interviewed groups or if it was just "symbolic footage" to fill the gaps in the documentation.

Oh, this bullshit is so fricking old. In the open some leftists claim to be peaceful, while in the dark they twirl tongues with the bloody hands type. Of course they don't give you evidence. Of course they hide it. This is so fucking old. There's a political branch and a terror branch, always.
