JWB
BTW, Jackie K became Jackie O because Ari O had a security crew that was more effective than the USSS.
EchoFiveMike
The average ghetto 7-11 has a security crew more effective than the USSS, because their stated mission statement at 7-11 is actually what they're trying to do. S/F...Ken M

Trump was given the chance to explain it away in an interview on Sunday with Ingram and he morevv v or CB less reiterated rather than explaining it was a joke. Also I hardly think anyone in the Sununu family is a close conduit for Trump.

Somethings not brought up during the hearing, brought up by Bongino yesterday. Before Rowe became Acting Director of the USSS he was the Deputy USSS Director in charge of the....PROTECTION TEAMS. Which means he was the next man in the chain of command for the failed protection detail on July 13th. When asset requests are granted or denied by the individual teams, it was Deputy Director ROWE that had the final say, yea or nay. Bongino made this point today. Not only has nobody been fired or relieved of duty, they remain actively part of the investigation. Not just sitting on the sidelines answering questions, but actually as part of the investigation team. Bongino for his part, for the second day, implored his former colleagues to go public or else he'll do it for them. Bongino is right, they should come forward. He's wrong to threaten to expose them. Murph
Yes, there is something that stinks to high heaven, and the cover up is in full force. The regular guys are demoralized by the actions of the higher ups. https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2024/07/31/top-jfk-assassination-researcher-something-is-fishy-with-secret-service/ nvestigative journalist Gerald Posner — whose deeply researched studies of the murders of John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr. made him a preeminent authority on political assassinations — says he can understand why so many people think there’s “something fishy” about the official story of the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump. Noting the belated admission by the Secret Service that Trump’s security team was denied requested resources before the July 13 assassination attempt, Posner asks, “Did they refuse to give Trump extra security for a two-year period?” They were almost creating a situation in which somebody could take a shot. Now I’m not saying that’s the case, but I understand why that speculation would be there.” Posner lays out his analysis of the events in Butler, Pennsylvania, that left one man dead, seriously injured two others and wounded former President Trump in the most recent episode of the Drill Down podcast with Peter Schweizer and Eric Eggers. Posner has been following the hearings into the Secret Service’s failure, and he has many questions. “We knew there have been screw-ups before, but they can’t keep it silent anymore because people who attend the rally take out their cell phones and start recording what happened. Everybody could see — ‘Hey, there he is! There’s that guy! Look at that guy on the roof! Hey, officers!’ — So, we know more than they are telling us. No wonder we think something is fishy here.” Before the event, the shooter “was walking around with a range finder and apparently a large backpack and they were tracking him. And then the Secret Service was made aware, they’re saying they now knew 30 minutes in advance,” Posner says. “Why did they allow Trump to take that stage?” Posner has written thirteen books, including deeply researched reviews of the slayings of President John F. Kennedy, called “Case Closed,” and “Killing the Dream,” about civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King. He and his co-author wife Patricia carefully reviewed the records around both assassinations, concluding that both Lee Harvey Oswald and James Earl Ray acted alone. rmgill
Should this be in the same indefensible cops thread or does that sort of accountability only apply to state and local police?

DKTanker
Edited short video. Trump didn't tighten the cap, he clearly loosened it. Righty tighty, lefty loosey.
Mr King
Celebrities threatening to leave the US if a Republican gets elected has been happening at least as far back as George W Bush. It seems to me to be an exercise in pure narcissism. They are threatening conservatives with a good time and giving them reason to support said candidates even more. Of course I cant think of any that actually carried thru with their threat to leave the US.
rmgill
If it was something he did, its a lot more harmless than the lies the media throws. Childish or not. But apparently not the case. Josh
I was really wondering why NABJ was interviewing Trump at all, and now I think I understand: they were just giving a format in which to hang himself. I haven’t watched it yet but based on a couple of the quotes I’ve heard, it already sounds like a Vance level disaster his staff and supporters will be digging him out of for the rest of the week. His supporters won't even have to bother defending him because in a week no one will remember it. Harris simply being picked locked up the black vote for Ds instantly. Trump's 'gains', if you could even call them that, were more about disillusionment with Biden than with genuine excitement for Trump per folks who were looking closely at the polls and investigating themselves. Outside of the black community I doubt anyone was on the fence that would be swayed against Trump after hearing how this event went down.
Mr King
I have not seen the whole interview yet, but this was a decidedly based moment when Trump turned it back on the idiot interviewing him. The gasps from the crowd are the cherry on top. And Trump is right of course
Ivanhoe
Pretty obvious now that acting director Rowe is a BS artist.
Stefan Fredriksson
The NABJ forum is 100% fake! Not only were they rude to him by asking questions, they also somehow made his hands look tiny. Disgraceful.
Stuart Galbraith
Oh, was the incredibly 'nasty' interviewer? I honestly think he expects to be invited to a show that does nothing but speak superlatives of him.
