37 dead in RW Manila, apparently from smoke inhalation after fire. Pinoy Whitey criminals are deadlier than DAESH.

Well to be fair in the US, ISIS never killed as many people as any white guy who attacked a school ever. The US has had way more white terrorism than Muslim, but coming out and saying so would be against the narrative.

Did you forget about the Orlando Pulse terror attack? Omar Mateen, who pledged allegiance to Daesh/ISIS, killed 49 people, more than were killed by "white guys" at either Columbine or Sandy Hook. And a few school shootings haven't caused any fatalities. Your line fails the facts test.

If you're going to spout propaganda like that, don't spout lines that are so easily refuted.

A Philippine Army V-150 ARV variant retrieved a flipped over dump truck, but on its way back to base took a turn wrong and went into a ditch:

And here we see the ARV itself being recovered by a pair of M113s:

You can almost hear Sparky laughing in the background. Not that this episode really says much about the vehicles in question, but its the sort of thing that goober crows over.

Actually using that metric, it has way more Black on Black terrorism than white on anyone or terrorist attacks. However turn off the security services and the Islamists will fill the gap.

As with all armies, they have not been paying attention when other people are working. I watched a FIBUA exercise here and asked where the ladders, picks, crowbars and sledgehammers were. The officer looked at me like I was insane. Perhaps I was to suggest that he might want to smash holes in the training buildings.

For one exercise our platoon had to carry two long aluminum ladders wrapped with sacking material as camouflage and reduce noise all night through muddy roads and plantations. Aluminum is misleading as they were heavy duty firemen grade ladders. They were heavy as fxxk, and there was no easy way to carry them over such long distances. It rained, of course, and the sacking soaked up water further adding to the weight.

By comparison, once I saw a doco of Vietnamese commandos (modern day) and their method was simple and effective: All they used was a thick bamboo pole. At one end, one guy hangs on with weapon ready in one hand. At the other end, several guys simply pivots him upwards - a bit like pole vaulting - to the second floor window in one quick quiet movement. Brilliant.

Terrorist attack underway at a hotel in Manila.

Unsure about that. The Chief of the National Police is now saying it looks more like a robbery.

Clearly, the robber knew the casino intimately. Only a limited number of employees would know where the chips are stored and even fewer would have access. This guy either had inside information or is a disgruntled current or ex-employee.

His actions, in deliberately burning the gambling tables and jackpot machines, seem to indicate more than mere robbery. There seems to be some vengeance involved in wanting to destroy the casino's money-making assets.

His action seems to have a more suicide attack angle than pure robbery intentions. And by attack I mean attacking the casino itself, not so much murdering bystanders.

Should the other SE Asian countries - namely Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore - get involved in the PH at this stage?

Malaysia and Indonesia have significant populations and won't want to piss them off by getting to involved. Singapore might help by training, high tech stuff or surveillance.

That is really cruel. When with a bit of ingenuity you can do this:

I know this drill from NVA training films, but have also seen films of soviet soldiers do this. I guess this is a standard soviet drill to use a pole and it spread from there. When avaiable bamboo makes it extra light weight I guess. Heck, you could cut the bamboo locally before going into town.

Duterte brings in the MNLF. He runs circles around the establishment who must hate him for makign them look inept.

That's just for WHAM and rear-area work. The Army and Marines are still going to have to carry the can for the actual assault work.

Not sure what anyone else can do but sitting around waiting for our turn to get attacked by these savages is frustrating.

"Pole-vaulting" is not without disadvantages either as each pole can only send one guy up at a time. Whereas with a ladder the entire section could go up. Not necessarily for clearing rooms but sometimes, a damaged structure has no staircase anymore but you may still want to go up for a variety of reasons.

The US finally got moving and supplied the Philippine Armed Forces with some additional weapons, though it looks like this delivery was already in the works before the recent Daseh attack:

US delivers M4 carbines, M203 grenade launchers to Philippines for counter-terrorism operations

Officials from the Joint US Military Assistance Group (JUSMAG) have handed over weapons and other military equipment to the Philippine Marine Corps (PMC) to enhance the latter's counter-terrorism capabilities.

The equipment includes 300 M4 carbines, 200 Glock 21 pistols, 4 M134D Gatling-style machine guns, and 100 M203 grenade launchers, the US embassy in Manila said in a 5 June statement.

The JUSMAG also delivered 25 new Combat Rubber Raiding Craft with outboard motors to PMC headquarters in Taguig, where PMC commandant Major General Emmanuel Salamat formally accepted delivery of the weapons during a transfer ceremony on 5 June.

The equipment, which was handed over as part of a US government grant programme, "will enhance the PMC's counter-terrorism capabilities and help protect [the] Philippine marines actively engaged in counter-terrorism operations in the southern Philippines", said the embassy, adding that the PMC's Inshore Boat Battalion and Marine Special Operations Group have already employed US counter-terrorism gear in ongoing combat operations in the area.

It should be noted that the recent US weapons delivery was after that Duterte speech. The delivery was not affected because all the weapons were brand new:

Out of words...

I can understand this guys, who want every available piece of everything between enemy and thin armor of their “tanks”. Equally pro-Russians are adding rubber transportation tape to their BMPs\BTRs\MTLBs. It is sicological ptotection, keeping men busy doing it is good for them.
