2017 Islamic Terror Attacks

On one of my school holiday jobs when young, I worked at a warehouse of a factory producing plastic bottles. There was a skinny Indian worker covered in Chinese triad gangland tattoos. However, he was very well-behaved, smiles all the time, has a blank stare and barely knew how to speak. Story was that he was former triad but got arrested and got beaten senseless by the police. Which turned him into a safe and you could even say - productive member of society.

This is the program you need for these scum.

Indian covered in Chinese triad gangland tattoos? Is it possible for non-Chinese to be triad member?

Yes, because traditionally the big gangs in Singapore are Chinese triads.

Indians/Pakistanis I have met in Singapore and Hong Kong have a talent for picking up the Chinese languages, while nearly no one else can pick up Indian languages due to its complexity.

American President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke on the phone again Sunday, with the Russian leader phoning Trump at Camp David.

Putin called Trump to thank him for a CIA tip that helped thwart a series of bombings in St. Petersburg, the Kremlin said.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders confirmed the conversation in a tweet.

Putin expressed gratitude during the call for information provided by the CIA that allowed Russia’s top domestic security agency to track down and arrest a group of suspects that was planning to bomb Kazan Cathedral and other crowded sites, the Kremlin said.

The Kremlin added that Putin asked Trump to convey gratitude to the CIA and assured him that Russian law enforcement agencies would hand over any information they get about potential terror threats against the United States, as they have done in the past.

This is the second conversation the two leaders have had in less than a week.

On Thursday, Trump thanked Putin for remarks he made acknowledging 'America's strong economic performance,' the White House said.

'The two presidents also discussed working together to resolve the very dangerous situation in North Korea' according to Trump's office.

The two presidents spoke by phone following Putin's annual press conference in Moscow.

It is related to this case http://www.tank-net.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=42253&p=1341776

Interestingly at least two group members are ethnic Russians (or at least with names like Russians)

Not sure about “islamic”, but now officially “terror”: explosion in StPete supermarket luggage storage, ~200grams of TNT equivalent with striking elements (initially described as steel balls). 13 people injured, 6 of them still in hospital. The bomb was in backpack planted by “south ethnicity looking” man.

so osmething like a chechen, aserbaidzhanian or so?

Well this term usually apply to variety of looks that may cover people from Uzbeks to Arabs, so mean not much (but Chechens etc are usually “people of Caucasus ethnicity” - another misleading term as Dagestan alone is ~50 ethnic groups, and Chechens if not wearing traditional dress\hairstyle are hardly distinguishable from Europeans)

Berlin, 31st. A 23 year old Syrian asked a 50 old If he is Turkish. When the man replied he's German he was called an infidel and stabbed. Suffered only light injuries. The perp previously attacked a mother and child. No one injured there. The cops considered him mentally disturbed and shipped him to a loony bin. In their PM the police didn't mention the "infidel" remark even though the division for 'politically motivated crimes' is running the investigation. When asked the police de-emphasized is Islamic angle and stressed that this looks like the act of a mentally disturbed person.

And yes, the perp is known to the police for violent crimes.

This is an unusual one but nonetheless very important.

A soccer player got drive by-ed on the Autobahn. He is ok. He is a German Turkish national of Kurdish descent who has recently been convicted by the Erdogan Regime for "terrorist propaganda". Hmm, who might have a motive the world wonders?

In other news: The German and Turkish Foreign Secretaries met on very good terms in Germany and are eager to reset mutual relations. The rumor mill says we are going to sell the regime a tank factory if they free the Germans who are held as political prisoners.

That's not a rumor, it's just a misrepresentation of what Gabriel said, that arms deliveries to Turkey will keep being blocked while the case of journalist Denis Yücel remains unresolved. What Turkey really wants though is the expansion of the customs union with the EU to agricultural products and services which Germany has also been blocking for a year; it is estimated to result in a 70 percent increase of Turkish exports to the EU and an 1.8 percent increase of their GDP in the next ten years, while at the current state they will have an increasing disadvantage.

The latter is because they are also required by the customs union to let goods from third countries with which the EU has free trade agreements be imported duty-free, but not vice versa. As it is they were lucky that TTIP fell through, or that would have included the US; but there are upcoming FTAs with Japan, India and others. That's the main reason the Turks have been playing more nicely lately, releasing some of the hostages etc. (which they are; Erdogan has pretty much come out and said they would be set free if Germany extradited Gülen sympathizers to Turkey, same as American pastor Andrew Brunson in exchange for Gülen himself).

Possibly terrorist incident in Belgium with a man shooting dead two police officers and a passenger in a nearby car in the city center of Liege, then barricading himself in a school with a cleaner as hostage; killed by a special intervention team a little later. Other motives are also possible (somebody always seems to hear an "Allah-u akbar" in such incidents, even if there was none), but anti-terror investigators have taken over.

Belgian shooting sparks terrorist probe

A deadly shoot-out in the Belgian city of Liege is being investigated as a terrorist act, the Belgian state prosecution says.

Updated 15 mins ago

A shooting in the Belgian city of Liege which has left four people dead will be investigated as a terrorist act, the state prosecution says.

"There are elements that make us assume that it is an act of terrorism," the federal prosecutor's office told DPA.

Two police officers and a passenger in a car were reported to have been killed in Tuesday's shooting.

A man, who briefly took a woman hostage, was shot dead by special forces, according to the broadcaster RTBF.

RTBF named the alleged assailant as a 36-year-old Belgian who had been released on parole from a prison near Liege, close to the German and Dutch borders, on Monday.

He was serving time for drug offences and classified as "unstable", according to RTBF. It remained unclear how the incident, during which pupils at a nearby high school were moved to a place of safety, had unfolded.

"The children in the local schools are safe," Liege city authorities said on Twitter.

RTBF said the man may have attacked the police officers with a box-cutter and then seized one of their weapons.

La Libre Belgique newspaper quoted a police source as saying the gunman shouted "Allahu Akbar" - God is greatest in Arabic - and RTBF said investigators were looking into whether he might have been converted to Islam and radicalised in prison.

"(Terrorism) is one of the questions on the table, but for the moment all scenarios are open," a spokesman for the crisis centre told Reuters.

Prime Minister Charles Michel, expressing his condolences to the families of the victims, said it was too early to say what had caused the incident.

RTBF said the attacker had a history of minor criminal convictions but was not on a list of possible violent extremists.

Two other police officers had been injured, a spokeswoman for the Liege public prosecutors office said.

Some more details:

- The assailant, named Benjamin Herman, attacked the two female police officers with a knife, took the handguns from both officers and then shot them dead.

- Subsequently he shot dead a 22-year old man sitting in a car.

- He took refuge in a school, there he took hostage two cleaning ladies and engaged in conversation with one, asking her if she was muslim and whether she practiced the ramadan. When she answered positively, he said that she would not be hurt.

- When he tried to exit the school, whilst shooting Allah-u-akbar, he got into a gunfight with the police outside and was killed before injuring no less than four officers.

- Benjamin Herman was a known criminal that had spent time in jail for theft, drug trafficking and vandalism. He was scheduled to be released from prison in 2020 and had been let of out prison 25 times meanwhile as preparation for his definite release.

- The night before the shootings Benjamin Herman, in the company of two other men, had conducted an armed robbery of a jeweler, three shots were fired, but no one was wounded. Afterwards Benjamin Herman is thought to have killed Michael Wilmet, who is suspected to be one of his companions in the earlier robbery. When found by the police, the head of Mr Wilmet was mutilated to such degree that the exact cause of death is still unclear.

The Belgian paper De Standaard has footage of the final gunfight, you can see one of the police officers go down.
