Ivanhoe Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 You can almost see all those Brits and Les Français smugly wallowing in their Gulf Stream Privilege;
lucklucky Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 (edited) That map is full of holes forgot the whole Pyrenees and parts of Spain already with snow...Italy too. https://www.snow-forecast.com/whiteroom/one-of-snowiest-ever-novembers-in-the-alps/ Quote It’s still early-days but this months snowfall in the Alps appears to have laid the base for a great start to the season, with high resorts like Val Thorens saying they already have enough snow to see them through the whole season ahead. Ssnake Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 We discussed this a few dozen pages back in this thread.
Ssnake Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 Not sure how a video presenting the same facts offers a higher value of proof --- no, there wasn't a video, just the facts were mentioned.
Harold Jones Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 While I generally prefer reading to watching videos, there is a segment of TN that is the opposite. My reply was an ironic comment on that.

And it probably continue changing until the sun goes nova. There is NOTHING we can do to stop it. So basically you want to go on using coal and diesel, just to reinforce a point you feel very seriously about? You realise how crazy that sounds, right?

You realise how crazy that sounds, right? What's crazy is you saying someone said something when you can only do it by inference. What I was saying is even if we quit using carbon based fuels the climate will still change. It always has and it always will. And we would still be able to do nothing about it.

My own state has turned up the first reactor in the US in like 20 years jsut this year and we have another coming on line real soon now (tm). BUT the echowarriors opposed nuke. So, if not Nuke, or coal, or diesel, what are you going to power transport with and power your homes? Natural Gas? They oppose fraking. So, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO USE?
Ivanhoe Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 "Experts agree; today's weather {fill in the blank} is a sign of climate change"

In Stuart's world, not going along with a dishonest narrative is mental illness. And its not just him; https://judiciary.house.gov/sites/evo-subsites/republicans-judiciary.house.gov/files/evo-media-document/cisa-staff-report6-26-23.pdf Quote Starbird responded that “malinformation is perhaps the hardest challenge in this space.”93 Starbird then lamented that “unfortunately current public discourse (in part a result of information operations) seems to accept malinformation as ‘speech’ and within democratic norms” and that CISA may face “bad faith criticism” for censoring content that is true.

rmgill Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 Currently taking a course for work on "sustainability" from a major IT advisory company. The amount of mind virus wishful thinking on renewables is astonishing. Regulators are going to push carbon neutral with no ability for the energy market or users to actually do so. I anticipate a LOT of fraud in all of this to make it look like you're green when you're not anything of the sort. New business concept. Start a solar generation company on an island in the bahamas where the power needs aren't high. Pump sea water into the sea or just run a bunch of heating banks to consume the electricity nearby without concern for delivery, use or regulation. You're generating "Green" mWHrs. Sell VPPAs to companies on the mainland. Profit.
