I find WT less frustrating, as they do not have gold ammunition. But in the end both a F2P games so the encourage you to spend money. WT and rank II is enjoyable without spending any money. I ventured into rank III is also doable and you can collect all free bonuses, if you have the time for that.

WG were smart, going from having premium ammo being almost a rarity, to being an expensive commodity. So higher income from ammo-purchase (I think mainly selling more premium time), to selling more premium vehicles.

I can afford it, so I shoot lots of premium ammo. The downside is that heavily armored tanks, eg. Black Prince, often nowadays have useless armor.

That is why I switched to WT. If you play a 3-5 rounds a day, you are still competitive without paying anything for the game.

So I installed WT. First impression is I think I may like it. Driving, shooting, minimap etc. felt very similar to WoT, so getting started was fairly easy. But I found menues it bit more hard to navigate, and at start when I declined tutorial, I had one option, and that was to start a battle, with no way to back out... But it was against easy bots, I think players on my team were human? so it was easy.

I really like being able to seeing armor layout and internal structures in game. Test drive is also a really nice feature. Need to learn economics, crew handling and research. Now I was forced to do research, but then again, most probably as part of learning the game.

Do you have to fly planes? If so, you fly with mouse or stick?

You don't have to fly planes.  As for mouse or stick, I use both.  I fly mostly with a stick until it comes time to shoot and I hit a button on my throttle to change over to the mouse for fine aiming.

Best players use keyboard and mouse

Thanks.

I also think arty is way more thought out in WT. For WoT it is just an annoying way to expand the game. And smoke-launchers. Sweet. Hard to see that being implemented in a workable way in WoT.

My only regret is that now when I can work fulltime again, time will be limited. 🙂

Premium time for WoT ran out the other day, and no patience ir interest to learn a new tank-game atm. Both uninstalled.

Instead I bought... Baldur's Gate 3. Closest I have come to play DnD is Diablo. So here I am trying to figure out what class I want to be. YT is my friend right now.
