Actually, that is remarcable case showing how weak and disfunctional were (and still are) pro-Western puppets who pretend to be ruling Russia.

"Yekaterinburg-based portal e1.ru reveals (https://www.e1.ru/text/criminal/2025/06/29/75653474 /) details of the crimes involving representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora, who were recently detained by security forces. Where and how they managed to mess up.

The murder of Yunis Pashayev in 2001. Azerbaijani businessman Yunis Pashayev (AZ citizen - RA) worked at the market, selling clothes. At some point, he refused to pay his compatriots for a "roof." In retaliation, on May 11, 2001, the racketeers ambushed him at the "Metallon" cafe and stabbed the countryman to death by a crowd (as other reports say, kitchen knifes from cafe kitchen were used in this killing - RA) . Pashayev did not die immediately – his friends Fekhruz Sh. and Ikram Hajiyev (both ethnic Azeri - RA) managed to bring him to the hospital . But the doctors couldn't save him. No one was punished, the case was shelved (despite of the fact Yunis Pashayev named his killers before his death - RA) . Today, Mazakhir Safarov, who was arrested on June 29, is accused of murder. Eight more people from the Safarov family and several of their compatriots are suspected.

The assassination attempt on Fekhruz Sh. in 2010. In 2010, the Safarovs "ordered" the killer of the same Fekhruz Sh., who tried to save Pashayev. Representatives of the diaspora have found a performer among their compatriots, Elman Suleymanov. One of the "customers", according to the investigation, was Akif Safarov, who was also taken into custody on June 29 for the duration of the investigation. The killer shot the victim on May 6, 2011, but the gun misfired, and Fekhruz was able to detain him with the help of his son. Suleymanov was convicted, but he did not hand over his clients, so the case also went to the shelf in the archive of the Investigative Committee.

The murder of Ikram Hajiyev in 2011. Pashayev's second friend, who tried to save him, was shot in the head on August 8, 2011. According to the investigation, the murder was organized by visitors from Tyumen, also immigrants from Azerbaijan. The customers paid them 50 thousand dollars to find the killers.

In fact, a group of Azerbaijanis in Yekaterinburg was detained for a banal criminal killings. Bandits divided Yekaterinburg and removed "problematic" businessmen. This was widespread in the country in the 1990s and 2000s. Baku's excessive reaction to the detention of representatives of the Diaspora is all the more surprising. It is likely that the Safarovs not only protected traders in the markets, but also collaborated with the Azerbaijani authorities in some way. They can certainly tell Russian investigators a lot of interesting things that official Baku would prefer to keep secret. Hence the hysteria."

In addition, it worth noting that Safarovs are RF citizens, so official Baku is protesting against Russian citizens of strong criminal record arrested in Russia, thousands of kilometers away from AZ borders, for killing AZ citizen who was trying to live normal life and killed for that.....

In addition, some AZ speakers of half-official status have urged 3 millions of ethnic Azeris in Russia to riot, and asked why RF embassy in Baku is still not burned.

As for me, the best outcome of this story would be diplomatic relations sewered, visa regime implemented on border, and criminal diasporas (all of them, not only of ethnic Azeris - athnic Armenian criminals are in no way better, for example) erraqdicated, allowing millions of hard-working law-obedient Azeris (and others) to safely live and work in Russia.

And if somebody is unhappy of life in cold barbaric Russia - they could always pack up and leave to flourishing warm paradise on Caspian Sea shores.....

But more likely Kremlin elders will step back as they always do when challenged.

P.S. Corpses of two Safarov's brothers who died during police operation to arrest them arrived to Baku and greeted as national heroes, with AZ TV showing the process live

"The fact that the bodies of members of an ethnic group are greeted as if they were heroes should not surprise at all.

The entire historical science of the former Soviet republics is based on one thesis.

"We lived under Russian occupation, but now we have finally settled down to live freely, according to the millennia-old traditions of our ancient and beautiful people."
Well, mixed in with this, as we often see, are Lenin's theses about great-power chauvinism and the imperial essence of Russians.

Therefore, consciously or not, but they meet the members of the group, precisely as heroes of the struggle for decolonization. Like they were collecting taxes from former colonialists.

Moreover, I repeat this thesis once again - for so long diasporas (not only Azerbaijani, however)  have been solving various issues in Russia using various opaque schemes (and they continue to solve them) that they have come to believe not only in their inviolability, but also in a kind of extraterritoriality. That is, it seems that there are people in Russia, but they live by their own laws. The laws of the Russian Federation mean nothing to them. And the authorities, who seem to be worried about this, they skillfully convince that "brother, don't worry." Well, remember for yourself how many times, in how many cities, ethnobandits got away with their antics, with the full connivance of the local authorities. How can people not believe that they are de facto a state within a state?
I repeat once again: Governor Kuyvashev apologized to the diaspora, essentially recognizing its special subjectivity.

Well, here is the result, where the dead members of the group are greeted except without fireworks. So, with all the obvious escapades of official Baku, you need to understand that exactly half of the responsibility for them, as I personally see it, lies with those people who, according to the small and large price list, allowed diasporas to think that they could do absolutely anything in Russia.

However, if we don't want to say unpleasant things to ourselves, and admit unpleasant facts, and even more so take responsibility for past wrong decisions, we can continue to think that Western intelligence services, Turkish "partners" and Transcaucasian elites are solely behind the current situation.

Well, or we can start looking for what's wrong with ourselves, inside. But it's more complicated than that."

It is interesting why President Aliev, well-educated and very smart politician, decided (or was forces to) play this game of hostage taking in favor of criminal gangs of people who are mostly not even citizens of Azerbaijan. But now cows are starting coming home: in Voronezh, owner of city's biggest market, Yusif Khalilov, was detained by police. Note the house and car of this businessman earned by hard work in poor barbaric Russia https://t.me/SPMigrant/1884

P.S. Also, the head of Azeri diaspora organisation in Ekaterinburg Shakhlin Shakhlinsy (sory for my speling) was arrested. Note modest family car he was driving https://t.me/milinfolive/152149

Another view on Shakhlin Shakhlinsy arrest, seems like they were trying to drive away and have rammed the car behind them https://t.me/milinfolive/152152 Driver is saying "Guys, guys, what happened, i was born and raised in Ekaterinburg" (despite of his active attempts to residt police just seconds before that)

So seems like RF is quite able to trade every Rus journalist arrested in AZ to regional criminal boss. Will see if AzGov will accept this exchange rate.

By the way it is interesting to note that ethnic Azeri diaspora across former USSR is not exactly artificial, bit is the prodict of deliberate efforts of AzSSR KGB branch leader who then became regional Communist Party boss and then, after some riot, third President of independent Azerbailan (by coincidence, he was also father of current President):

"You know that for 14 years, from 1969 to 1982, I led the <Soviet> Republic of Azerbaijan, at that time Azerbaijan was one of the fifteen republics of the Soviet Union. I remember well that at that time I tried to ensure that Azerbaijanis, especially young people, lived not only in Azerbaijan, but also in other cities and republics of the Soviet Union (at that time it was not possible to leave the Soviet Union), settled, and spread out there. There are still a lot of Azerbaijanis in our country. Let there be an Azerbaijani diaspora and lobby everywhere. Maybe you don't know this, but at that time I even received permission from Moscow to settle and spread Azerbaijani youth in all corners of the Soviet Union. Every year, 800-900 young people went to receive education in other places - in institutes and universities in Moscow, Leningrad, Sverdlovsk and other cities. I created such conditions so that there would be no difficulties for Azerbaijani youth to enroll in those universities, as many would not be able to take exams there because they did not know the Russian language, and many after passing the exams could not go through the competition. But I created preferential conditions for them and, as I said, I sent hundreds of young people to study at major universities in the Soviet Union every year.

...But sometimes there were those who, having lived in Russia for 20-30 years at that time, having forgotten that they were Azerbaijanis, having forgotten their religion, assimilated there. Undoubtedly, this is not satisfactory for us."

So local KGB/Communist Party leader was pusing through leading univercities young men who were clearly not the brightest ones (even unable to do the language test, not to mention face competition of other candidates). One could guess what was the criteria to choose this young men....

Interesting to note that Shakhlin Shakhlinsy (again, sory for my speling)  was arrested right in front of "Baku Plaza" in Ekaterinburg

As we see, there is a deep link between local officials and diasporas (not only Azeri diaspora - Armenian one is hardly any better).

>>It’s also worth noting that many Azerbaijani nationals hold powerful positions in Russian business circles.

Thus, the highly demonstrative crackdown on the Azerbaijani diaspora in Yekaterinburg may be a message from the Kremlin to Baku: stop drifting toward Turkey, or we’ll go after your top business elites.

But if Moscow is resorting to such crude methods of pressure, it suggests it has no other levers left. This is yet another "multimove" by Putin - one that is likely to backfire and lead to a total collapse of influence instead of strengthening.

Situation with Azerbaijan is not just an isolated failure, it’s a symptom of a systemic breakdown.<<

I'm sorry but  if some Azerbaijani nationals (with Russian passports) are business elite not of Russia, but of Azerbaijan - then they have to obey Russian law, or leave back to their native land. Not to mention not to commit crimes (including assacinations). No need for relations with Turkey to get entengled here.

There is no influence of "Moscow" in former Soviet republics (especially AZ with local regime that is very special even by post-Soviet standards). More over, it is Azerbaijan de-facto controlling big chunks of power and "business" in Russia, with both criminal gangs and spoecial services having de-facto free hand.

Have you heard about Zahiraddin Ibragimov, 71yo historian, ethnic Talysh, former head of the Committee for the Protection of the Rights of Ethnic Minorities in Azerbaijan, who was abducted in Russia and frown to Baku in private jet to face jail?

If people in the Kremlin can't parade kulaks and then have them 'shot' media-effective , then they don't feel comfortable. Ultimately, someone must be responsible for the mess that the Kremlin itself has made.

I'm sorry but i have to note you are not demonstrating reason by using the words you do not understand the meaning of, and showing posters you do not understand the complex context of.

This photo is German prisoners taken during "Bagration" who marched through Moscow on 17 July 1944. Nice to see you remember this events, but it was hardly parade and i doubt there were many (if any) Jews among those ranks. Quite likely, there were Jews among those who were guarding this prisoners and watching the march.

@Roman Alymov You studied "Aerospace Sciences"?

"Aerospace scientist" is as meaningless as "doctor" (proctologist and ophthalmologist are both "doctors" but hardly could treat, for example, regular flu). Since you are interested, Moscow Aviation Institute, faculty of Applied Mathematics and Physics, department of Numerical Methods for Solving Differential Equations, graduation work in spacecraft ballistscs.

And you can't understand what I'm trying to say? That doesn't add up.

I can understand you are using the words and images you have very limited idea of the meaning of. If you do want to communicate something, its nice idea to just say it in plain words. Of course it is up to you, it is your right to make yourself look foolish, with all my respect.
