Armenia Azerbaijan Conflict

Atila, could you tell us a little about the current situation in those territories? Have refugees returned? Has the population recovered? How is the situation with Armenians who did not emigrate?

The plan is to return 140 thousand people by the end of 2026. Large scale infrastructure projects are underway, along with rebuilding settlements from scratch. You have to keep in mind that Armenians totally destroyed settlements innhabited by Azerbaijanis in the years following the war.

I would say most large scale works are in Aghdam and Fuzuli, especially Aghdam. These had largest populations pre war.

Shusha, Lachin are already being repopulated.

Other places like Kalbajar:

As for Khankendi (“Stepanakert”), infrastructure is already in place there. Khankendi university is opening this year, and it will host thousands of students.

There are less than 100-50 Armenians left.

Alleged order for 70 DITA 155mm howitzers by Azerbaijan.

This would be in addition to 48 Nora B52 Azerbaijan has ordered from Serbia.

DITA will be displayed at ADEX 2024.

Nice, other Spanish companies like Indra have sold radars.

With the Su-25 displayed at ADEX 2024 five upgraded Su-25s have been identified at least: 27, 18, 31, 37 and 36

Thank you, nice success for the JF-17 as Azerbaijan had also looked at MiG and Sukhois from Russia.

PS Is there any new website you recommend to follow what is going on in Azerbaijan? and military news site?

Hmm. I'm not sure, I think the RD-93 MA is a dead project and Pakistan is going for Chinese engines to replace the RD-93. Let's wait for some official confirmation

I have not come across any information about RD-93MA being a dead project. Testing started in 2020 but there is not much information available. China signed 2 large contracts for RD-93 in 2007 and 2010 (250 engines and option for another 400). For WS-130 there is probably less information, and it was not included in a production plan published by mistake
