Missed this news at the time. Azerbaijani PM and Turkish vice president signed an agreement in early 2021 on integration of SOM cruise missiles on Azerbaijani aircrafts.

The control of Lachin town and 2 surrounding villages will pass to Azerbaijani army tomorrow. 

Azerbaijan built a new road bypassing the town of Lachin. Russian peacekeepers will relocate to the new road

According to Roketsan representatives at ADEX 2022, Turkey will export SOM-B1 cruise missile to Azerbaijan. Deliveries likely to start next year.

The reason for delay of a formal contract and subsequent deliveries was the TR-40 engine from France used in SOM missile, however Turkish KTJ-3200 turbojet engine will replace the French engine, thus removing the obstacle for the export of SOM missile to Azerbaijan.

The formal contract for SOM-B1 was signed during Azerbaijani PM’s visit to Turkey in 2021.

The Armenian Defense Ministry said that, as of 4am Tuesday morning, the situation along the border remained “extremely tense,” with ongoing Azerbaijan artillery and mortar fire, as well as drone strikes allegedly targeting “both military and civilian” infrastructure in Armenia.

Azerbaijan claims that the shelling was provoked by Armenia, while the defense ministry in Baku accused Armenian “saboteurs” of mining roads and infrastructure on the Azeri side of the border over the weekend, causing an unspecified number of military casualties.

From first moment of the fighting Azerbaijan MoD said this:

“In response to Armenia's provocations, local countermeasures are aimed against legitimate military targets that are firing points. The retaliatory measures are small-scale and targeted, as well as aimed at ensuring the security of Azerbaijan's borders and suppressing Armenia's provocations.”

Armenia has not reported a single civilian casualty, hence Azerbaijan has exclusively targeted military targets. 

Armenia has confirmed heavy losses among its military, at least 49 KIA. Azerbaijan has 8 confirmed KIA so far. 

It seems Azerbaijan has also taken unknown number of POWs.
