Armenia Azerbaijan Conflict
Things have been heating up Azerbaijan and Armenia over Nagorno-Karabakh over past weeks. Today large escalation have been reported with both sides blaming the other side. Tanks, aircraft and artillery has apparently been used. Armenia claims that the conflict has erupted over the whole length of border in Karabakh.
Armenia has claimed to have shot down Mi-24, which Azerbaijan denies.

I’m afraid it is simplistic view. Yes ethnic Armenians are, traditionally, integral part of Russian society (some of them living here for centuries – for example my one of districts of my native Rostov-on-Don was once separate city Nakhichevan-on-Don founded by Catherine the Great decree in 1779 as new home for Armenians fleeing another genocide in Crimea (Ottoman Empire at that time).
