Glad to hear. Hope K9 wins at Norway as well.

BTW, I saw recent T-155 Firtina video. It seemed has more recoil compared to the original. Was there any change on suspension during license produce?

Hard to say if T-155 had changes to suspension. I can only say that here after trails of Krab with K9 chassis, guys from HSW said that recoil damping is so great, that during firing "howitzer is like welded to ground".

Yeah, while a Norwegian purchase would only consist of about 18-24 guns, this contract is more important than it seems as both Denmark and Finland have been paying close attention to the process, and the likelihood of them acquiring the same gun as Norway is pretty high. That's another 18-24 guns for Denmark and a whopping 100 or so guns for Finland.

Things are looking good for the K9, however, judging from the amount of praise it's gotten from the arty people over here, and I'd be very surprised if it didn't wound up being the preferred candidate of the Army's Weapon's School in their recommendation to the MoD.

That said, it's in the politicians' hands now, and one should never underestimate their ability to screw up decisions, so we'll just have to wait and see what comes out of this. Hopefully, within a month or two.

Production planning phase will begin at the end of this year, and rumors say that 120 vehicles will be produced. Block II upgraded vehicles will be fitted with the hard-kill KAPS, a new model of Tactical Multi-band and Multirole Radio (TMMR) C4I equipment, and a locally produced powerpack.

What are the solid green 'clouds' in front of the tanks - are they some kind of smoke grenade or passive defence system?

How does a tank navigate when crossing a river? Does the driver have any way to see, or is he driving blind under the directions of his commander?

The driver follows the tank commander's directions. Which he does most of the time when under armor anyway, because the view is very limited with closed hatch.

Does the commander have any gear to help him see underwater obstacles or giant pot holes?

apart from Mark 1* ball, eye, headmount none.

The sappers do reconnaissance to find a suitable place for river crossing and check for depth and obstacles beforehand. Then the path is marked where the tanks are supposed to ford and boats and divers are on hand if something goes wrong.

Botswana wishes to purchase some ROK arms including K2 Black Panther.

'The Botswana Defence Forces (BDF) currently operates Canadair CF-5C/D jets that are at least 40 years old and was previously reported to be interested in acquiring the Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) T-50 Golden Eagle jet trainer or the FA-50 combat version.

A South Korean military delegation visited Botswana in 2013 to promote the aircraft and President Ian Khama held talks with KAI when he visited Seoul in October 2015. South Korea's official Yonhap news agency reported at that time that Botswana's final decision was expected by the end of 2015 after it had considered options in two other countries.

Botswana's The Sunday Standard newspaper reported in February that, in the wake of Khama's visit to South Korea, the BDF was planning to spend BWP2 billion on eight T-50s and was also expected to buy K2 Black Panther tanks from South Korea.'

I guess they feel kinda threatened by South African Oliphants?

Was surprised to hear an African country, assuming dirt poor, to want K2s, but they actually have 18,000 per capita PPP. And with a population of just a little more than 2 million, it makes sense that they would want high quality to make up for low numbers.
