UK is going downhill fast.

Queen lost her mind?   "Climate Change most pressing issue"   strangely the news was taken out from the Telegraph...

Willy is against space exploration...

Harry well....

Well, English royalty has been traditionally in the upper levels of the Anglo-Saxon Freemasonry, that is no secret.

“I am so deeply, deeply saddened by the tragic news that Sir David has passed away. He loved being an MP and was a great public servant. It is just awful. My thoughts and prayers, and those of all Londoners, are with David’s loved ones at this time of unimaginable grief.”

The point is only valid if resources that are being spent on space exploration were to be reallocated to "saving the planet". I would argue that we're spending quite enough on "saving the planet" already - the good money is doing things like improving the efficiency of farming methods to reduce diesel use when tending fields, inventing more efficient devices and changing working methods so people don't need to travel to work, and so on.

Most of the rest of it is theatre, so spending money on environmental theatre is no different to spending it on space exploration theatre - in their own ways they're both entertaining. I love me some big engineering regardless. If I didn't, I wouldn't love tanks.

UK police charge suspect with murder of MP David Amess

5h ago

The 25-year-old suspect, who was arrested after the stabbing, has been charged with murder and "preparation of terrorist acts," prosecutors said.

British prosecutors said Thursday they had authorized police to charge a 25-year-old suspect with the murder of lawmaker David Amess.

The British member of Parliament was stabbed to death last Friday during a constituency meeting at a church in the southeastern county of Essex.

Police had arrested the suspect and declared the attack a "terrorist incident."

What are the charges?

"We will submit to the court that this murder has a terrorist connection, namely that it had both religious and ideological motivations," said Nick Price, head of the Crown Prosecution Service Special Crime and Counter Terrorism Division. The Crown Prosecution Service, or CPS, prosecutes criminal cases in England and Wales.

"He has also been charged with the preparation of terrorist acts. This follows a review of the evidence gathered by the Metropolitan Police in its investigation."

Matt Jukes, a Metropolitan Police assistant commissioner for specialist operations, said detectives had analyzed computers, searched several London addresses and reviewed CCTV footage as part of the investigation.

"It remains the case that no other arrests have been made and at this time we are not seeking anybody else in relation to this incident," he said.

The suspect has been identified as Ali Harbi Ali, a British citizen living in London.

Admirable Britons meet ecofreaks.

Quote

Eco protesters have again clashed with furious drivers as they blocked roads at an industrial park near the Dartford Crossing and a junction of the M25.

Insulate Britain stopped traffic at a junction north of the Thames, near an overpass for the Queen Elizabeth II bridge, the busy Essex crossing east of London.

The area near the Purfleet Freight Terminal is home to a number of business sites - and a route for freight. The road was set to reopen around 10.30am.

Irate motorists dragged protesters from the road, where they were sat down or laid out, as the scenes turned violent. The area is considered a bottleneck for freight lorries, drivers told LBC.

Didn't say it was easy. I just made helpful suggestions to boost the entertainment value of these blockade incidents, and to drive up the price that these people pay for harrassing their fellow man in the name of The Greater Good.

So they get carried away by the police and got their names written down, and then a ticket from the judge a year later? How's that ever going to deter anyone from anything?

Well at least its more inventive than 'The Last Generation', which sounds like a cheap 1980's scifi, filmed in the Negev desert by Golan Globus. :)

It's like committing suicide because you fear death.

I hope the climate activists are proud of the success of their two decade long effort to induce blind panic in the minds of young people, making them afraid of the future rather than hopeful. Good job [slow clap]. This could just as well be posted in Culture Wars, or Climate Insanity.

Quite agree! "The West" is killing itself on the poison of man-made climate change and socialism while neglecting the antidotes of Christianity and Capitalism.

I think im with Prince Charles on this one. Yes, there is a threat, yes something needs to be done about it, but this methodology is completely and totally counterproductive. They could be winning peoples support using evidence and argument, not making them late for work or filling up emergency wards.
