Mikel2 Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_of_Jenkins%27_Ear This war was triggered by Jenkins´ claims of having had his ear cut by the spaniards. As he exhibited his severed ear before British parliament, someone noticed that under Jenkins´long hair, he seemed to have two perfectly good ears...
toysoldier Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Damn you, Wolverine, thats what you did with the time machine!
swerve Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_of_Jenkins%27_Ear This war was triggered by Jenkins´ claims of having had his ear cut by the spaniards. As he exhibited his severed ear before British parliament, someone noticed that under Jenkins´long hair, he seemed to have two perfectly good ears... One of my ancestors was last heard of (by the mother of his child, my next-generation ancestor) marching off with Colonel Winyards Regiment of Marines in 1739, shortly before it sailed to the West Indies - where it fought at Cartagena, suffering heavy losses. He never came back. I blame Jenkins.
