I think a lot of it is throwing shit at a door and hoping it sticks. I think its less giving orders than pinpointing whatever popular movement there is, and subverting it. Ive already witnessed at least one conspiracy theory about the Charlie Kirk murder online. That would be the kind of thing they go for. The very first conspiracy theory about the JFK assassination  was bankrolled by the KGB. The shit stuck.

What do Candace, Tucker, Hinkle (ACP), Haz al-Din (ACP) and Blumenthal (Grayzone) have in common? That's right, Russia. 

OTOH Tucker does have ties to Qatar as well.

Conservative media targeted by Qatari foreign influence operations

After President Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 election, foreign agents working on behalf of the Qatari government appear to have shifted their focus to right-wing media, fueling speculation that the terror-linked Gulf state is attempting to win influence among conservatives.

Between January 1, 2024, and election day, just over 10% of communications sent by Qatari foreign agents to the media were directed to conservative outlets or commenters, according to a Washington Examiner review of Department of Justice records. The interview, which has raked up nearly six million views across X and YouTube was friendly, with Carlson praising the country.

Qatar paid top dollar to ensure this interview took place. Foreign Agents Registration Act records show that Lumen8 Advisors LLC, a legal consulting company for which very little public information is available, helped facilitate between Carlson and the Qatari dignitary. The Embassy of the State of Qatar pays Lumen8 Advisors $180,000 per month “to provide media and communication coaching and consulting services.” 

“Qatar wants to further cement ties with Trump and allies for many reasons, including to defend itself against Republican attacks for its relationship with Hamas and Iran,” Anna Jacobs, a non-resident fellow at the Arab Gulf States Institute, said of the Carlson interview.

Carlson was far from Qatar’s only target in its quest to influence conservative media. Established right-of-center outlets like Fox News Digital, Just The News, the New York Post, the Daily Mail, and the Washington Examiner were all targeted to varying degrees by Qatari foreign agents in the months following Trump’s election, records show.

It’s impossible to prove definitively based on public records whether or not these agents successfully planted stories at any of these outlets. Some of these publications did, however, publish pro-Qatar stories shortly after receiving pitches from foreign agents.

I'm less concerned about purportedly RW pundits taking foreign bribes support, or those foreigners at the other end. 

I'm more concerned with standard-issue Americans actually believing that Candace, Tucker et al speak for, or represent, American conservatism. Its despicable but understandable when LW pundits make that leap, but shameful that some conservative pundits also do so.

And the deafening silence from small-L libertarian pundits has been noted by me. In an ideal world, one might hope that the nonpartisan l-space would at least object to the covert nature of the activities (i.e. social engineering) and publish exhortations for open and honest dialogue.

And once again, firms with source code IP (Intellectual Property, in this usage) failed to protect a critical asset. 

I'm going to speculate that the victim firm chose to enable access to their source code repository from the public IP address space (Internet Protocol, in this usage) without MFA, in hopes their coders would work on stuff from home.
