He started his own business and apparently had a big set of the snap on tools. Sadly my cousin got ahold of them and turned them into $$ for his various habits. 😕 I do have the old craftsman stuff that was my other Grandfather's tools. I wish I had his shop tools but he passed and the family broke up his shop before I was out of highschool so I had no place for any of his tools save for some random hand tools. I'd love to have his old 24" Lathe. Edited December 1, 2021 by rmgill

Dear old Mom forgot you had to soak the thing for quite a awhile before frying. Now I know how quickly salt can absorb saliva.

There are interesting, newly invented modern tools, like Knippex wrench pliers, power ratchets, Miniware portable soldering irons, or those Fein multitools.

Colin Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 The "Wet Coast" has been living up to it's name. Vancouver has been cut off by road and rail from the rest of Canada for pretty much all of the last two weeks, still a lot of rain coming. This is the road I take to one of my gun clubs, the club also got completely flooded.
Allan W Posted December 2, 2021 Posted December 2, 2021 The second picture Colin posted is Highway 1 where it passes through the Sumas Prairie. It is the major east-west route out of Vancouver to the interior of BC and the rest of Canada.

NORAD is clearly maintaining the fiction that Canada doesn't have hundreds of Bomarcs y'all can ripple-fire out of the CN Tower.

We would keep them this long and then try to upgrade to 1990's standards in 2025, while debating a replacement.
