She was removed from the ministry so that PM Sunny Ways could insert a dupe into the S-G portfolio who would then green light the PM's desired outcome to the criminal case pending against SNC. You know, rule of law and all that.

China is watching and taking notes, because on the backburner is the Weiwei crisis in BC, where our position is that the PM does not instruct our S-G to interfere in legal cases....

And Alberta is making noise about job losses in Alberta, yet JT says he is worried about job losses in Quebec. More like he is afraid of vote losses in Quebec.

More like he is afraid of money losses from a big Quebec Liberal croney.

In case anyone is wondering what a Treasury Board is...

About the Treasury Board of Canada

The Treasury Board is a Cabinet committee of the Queen’s Privy Council of Canada. It was established in 1867 and given statutory powers in 1869.

The Treasury Board is responsible for accountability and ethics, financial, personnel and administrative management, comptrollership, approving regulations and most Orders-in-Council.

The formal role of the President is to chair the Treasury Board. The President carries out the responsibility for the management of the government by translating the policies and programs approved by Cabinet into operational reality and by providing departments with the resources and the administrative environment they need to do their work. The Treasury Board has an administrative arm, the Secretariat, which was part of the Department of Finance until it was proclaimed a department in 1966.

So will Trudeau end up resigning or will he drag this thing behind him into the next election?

His biggest advantage for the next election (this year) is that the other two party leaders are not that popular either.

It will be a vote for the lesser of the perceived 'evils'.

Always "fun" when an election is each party underbidding each other. Today sinks for you the niveau. :glare:

The Conservative leader looks and sounds like the president of the school accounting club. The NDP leader is a diversity hire. People dont dislike them so much as dont care. This can be a bit of an advantage here as people like to vote against a party or leader rather than for them.

Is there any realistic chance of a challenge from inside the party?

I haven't heard yet of any, but I have no insider access and am limited to the MSM. My bet is that it is early yet and he will stay until the election. If he wins he will be ok. If he loses, he's toast.
