rmgill Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Nothing new. Personally, I'm looking at the new BRN180 uppers and lowers. Not AR-15.... 😉

I'm probably too old and gimpy to fight in the trenches, but by golly I am ferociously fighting for Team Demand to keep prices stable for Gen3 Pmags. Though come to mention it, its been at least a year since my last tithing to Magpul. Mea Culpa.

Get ice for your thumbs.

And you probably know how to site AT and MG positions. Much like the Germans (vets of WWI) who were manning the Hurtgen Forest. Not good at running but with carefully sited and camouflaged positions, it was a meat grinder for the attackers.

I bought the wife a Ruger PCC and since Magpul makes great 30 round magazines, fitted the glock magazine adaptor. With a light and a red dot optic, its amazingly handy. I like my 30 carbine but the same setup in 9mm or if I had a 10mm, in that caliber, would be stupendous. Extra barrel length gives that much more oomph, 300-400 extra fps depending on cartridge and powder. Edited March 3 by rmgill

Ivanhoe Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Apparently this Amouranth gal lives in the Houston area, so there should be no surprise about home invasions.
rmgill Posted March 3 Posted March 3 I look forwards to Doughnut breaking it down once the dust has settled.

And I thought she lived in FL. Or I assumed so since she owns several hundred acres of land there. Simps really propelled her ass enough to be a real estate mogul.
Murph Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Lots of plastic surgery and filters is all I see on her. Not attractive at all to me. I like my women real, not Kardashianed.

rmgill Posted March 9 Posted March 9 No, there's nothing wrong with the criminal justice system in California.. https://www.westernjournal.com/ca-judge-gives-evil-man-sentence-dreams-sexually-assaulting-disfiguring-woman-rock/?fbclid=IwY2xjawI55hxleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHS7zvta8b1VSrDpzsts9X6SXSI00k3CYXIW3NZljmQ3zOdt_sE72QlfFyA_aem_8w0r88bwBXdglxf4MbPC6A Quote CA Judge Gives Evil Man Sentence of His Dreams for Sexually Assaulting, Disfiguring Woman With Rock By Ben Zeisloft March 8, 2025 at 4:07pm A judge in California sentenced 38-year-old Trevor Colombano to a period of probation despite him beating a woman mercilessly with a landscaping rock after trying to sexually assault her. The victim was taking her dog for a walk on Oct. 28, 2023, when Colombano approached her from behind, according to a March 4 release from the district attorney’s office of Sonoma County, California. After stepping outside her apartment, Colombano rubbed his erect penis against her buttocks, then “brutally attacked her” after his advances were rejected. “Colombano struck the victim on her head several times with a closed fist, and the attack then took a horrific turn when Colombano retrieved a landscaping rock and repeatedly bashed the victim’s face with it,” the release said. The attack unfolded as the victim’s 13-year-old daughter and 13-year-old cousin watched helplessly. Two bystanders intervened, wrestling Colombano to the ground before the police arrived. The victim was left “permanently disfigured” from the attack, requiring five staples and 17 sutures after enduring “several lacerations to her scalp and a full-thickness laceration to her lip.” Colombano also ripped off the victim’s shirt and bra as he assaulted her. “When you have a stranger attack you in the way I was attacked, it felt like my ability to be strong was taken away from me. I have cried more in the last six months than I have in my entire lifetime,” the victim said during the sentencing hearing. “I cannot even put into words the feeling of not being able to protect yourself or your child at the same time.” Despite the brutal nature of the crime, Superior Court Judge Dana Simonds disagreed with recommendations from the Sonoma County district attorney’s office that a nine-year prison sentence be imposed, instead giving Colombano probation. Simonds referred to “Colombano’s cannabis consumption and stress as contributing factors, and referenced mental health issues in sentencing him to probation, and allowing for his release from custody,” according to the release. I bet anyone that this guy commits another violent felony.

rmgill Posted March 16 Posted March 16 (edited) What's really interesting is the controls for those is in the wrist area of the scoop/bucket. The operator sat up there, leaning out of a window to see where he was moving to/from. The other operator sat in the hopper that handed the ore off to the rail car and was moved back and forth along the axis of the frame under the unloader system. These really are a testament of US ingenuity crossed with size and effciency. Here's the control car view.... And at 6:45 you can see the shift change of the bucket operator. Later on, how they'd lift a wheeled payloader into the hold of the ship to move the final bit's of ore to a few points for the final clean out. And with a bit of sweeping for the dregs.
