A big part of recent attempts to increase funding for the IRS was to help modernize and pay for folks to come in who actually have the capability of taking on these ultra wealthy filers who have a small army of tax lawyers working for them.  There's been congressional testimony for years highlighting that middle class and lower filers are often the focus of audits because it's simply easier to handle those cases.  And Rs (both pols and voters) went along with the idea of cutting this funding for... reasons.  🙄

We've got a separate Monkeypox thread in the FFZ, and IIRC I posted about the one (1) case of Monkeypox in my AO which was a child, for which the explanation given was a visiting relative, shared bed => infectious sheets. Some of the local pearl-clutchers were demanding public schools be closed again.

Kind of surprising that the murderer didn't have a change of costume at the ebike. Poor tradecraft.

One could argue that killing the victim at the shareholder's annual meeting was sending a message, however one can also argue that its simply the watering-hole effect.

It will be interesting to see what the coroner's report says about the bullet placement and grouping. I'm not convinced this was some high-dollar hitter.

When changes are presented as just % differences that can be very misleading as it's easy to paint a narrative.

Someone posted a similar pic, but with sources, not too long ago.  I looked those up and while there seemed to be some truth to administration bloat per the actual numbers the data was still unclear (not specific enough) in other areas.

Modern schools simply have far more staff than they did when my parents went to school.  I have a friend whose wife is a full-time speech pathologist at a local elementary school.  There are so many kids with issues they can afford to have here there full-time.  I have several friends who teach at high end private schools and the number of admin and support staff blows away even the most perceived inefficient public school.
