sunday Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Sariel published a book on Lego Technic construction techniques, along with a very basic introduction to machine and automotive design with examples made of Lego, that almost made me hate him, because every fricking time I thought of a cool idea, that idea was less than 10 pages away. There are also some interesting Lego-compatible aftermarket assemblies, like Torsen differentials or gearwheels with non-Lego standard number of teeth.
Guest Jason L Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I have an embarrassingly large lego collection for a grown-ass man. I can only blame so much of it on my girlfriend.
sunday Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 (edited) Nephews are useful for that. Especially when their dog likes munching Lego bricks. Edited February 12, 2015 by sunday
Corinthian Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I have an embarrassingly large lego collection for a grown-ass man. I can only blame so much of it on my girlfriend. I just look at my Mega Bloks Halo collection and I see that with the amount of money I spent for that, I could've afforded a 27.5 Pike fork.
Corinthian Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 And oh, I officially hate this thread already because it is making me want to raid BrickLink again for parts so I can build my own LEGO tank when I should be spending the money to buy bike parts for my uncle's bike.
DougRichards Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Jason it's a sign you should have kids Kids are just an excuse for a man buying toys for the man himself to play with. That is how it used to be with model trains....... Before that - Meccano - (also the maker of Hornby train sets... (I was a triang kid myself, or rather, my father, may he rest in peace with his photography, golf and painting, was the triang person).
