Stargrunt6
The left has been asking "why isn't the NRA saying anything about Ferguson? Why do they support Bundy in Nevada but not the people in Ferguson?" What sayeth the foro?
EchoFiveMike
Bundy was an admin crime vs the "gov't", it had order, reason and discipline; Mike Brown was just another stereotypical ghetto thug, victimizing people then getting smoked, which then led to just another stereotypical ghetto riot where they burn their own neighborhoods and loot. Why do they support Bundy in Nevada but not the people in Ferguson?" What sayeth the foro?Maybe because the NRA abandoned Mr Bundy? Wayne LaPierre wanted to defend Cliven Bundy and cheer the NRA crowd to revolution. He couldn't. shep854
Who in Ferguson do the anti-gunners and NRA opponents (including Salon.com) expect the NRA to 'support'? The store owners, but that wouldn't please the Salon.com types. Yep. Somehow the Lefties seem to want the NRA to endorse arming rioters, to not appear racist. I remember years ago, the NRA tried to launch a campaign to help law-abiding inner-city dwellers defend themselves. The normal howling and ridicule ensured. X-Files
Yep. Somehow the Lefties seem to want the NRA to endorse arming rioters, to not appear racist. The Administration's First Responders, those self-beknighted Progressives, just want to ask rhetorically smug questions in a Pajama Boy style: "So when did you stop beating your wife, Mr Heston?" They really don't want answers, nor do they want any sort of dialogue. They'll just pucker their sphincters, clench their gluteus maximus and pontificate. The store owners, but that wouldn't please the Salon.com types. Salon.com doesn't want to talk about their fellow travelers, the Black Bloc (who are ironically mostly snowflake white Progressive radicals/Anarchs) that came into Ferguson solely to stir up shit, and teach the East St. Louis/Chiraq types how to fuck things up. X-Files
Get your popcorn ready. FERGUSON MISSOURI (Reuters) - Missouri authorities are drawing up contingency plans and seeking intelligence from U.S. police departments on out-of-state agitators, fearing that fresh riots could erupt if a grand jury does not indict a white officer for killing a black teen. The plans are being thrashed out in meetings being held two to three times a week, according to people who have attended them. The FBI said it was also involved in the discussionshttp://news.yahoo.com/exclusive-missouri-police-plan-possible-riots-brown-cop-180952163.html
X-Files
Wednesday's shooting happened at about 7:30 p.m. in the city's Shaw Neighborhood, and involved an officer working a department-approved secondary job for a private security company, Police Chief Sam Dotson said at an early-morning news conference. The officer approached a group of men. One of the men took off running, Dotson said, so the officer pursued. Dotson said the suspect approached the officer in an "aggressive" manner, with a physical altercation occurring. The man then turned and fired three rounds at the officer before his gun jammed, Dotson said. The officer, who was not injured, returned fire, shooting 17 times and fatally wounding the man, Dotson said.https://gma.yahoo.com/unrest-st-louis-police-officer-shoots-kills-man-061859179--abc-news-topstories.html

Rocky Davis
Actually, the REAL burning question in Ferguson is this one: Locals have said numerous times that if policeman Darren Wilson is not indicted AND convicted, Ferguson will burn (can you say "Lynchmob Mentality?"). Will it REALLY burn?
toysoldier
It might. The very few Koreans in Ferguson are "fearful":http://www.koreatimesus.com/koreans-fearful-as-ferguson-riot-escalates/
Rocky Davis
They have good reason to be fearful. If you remember the Rodney King riots, non-Black businesses in the predominantly Black area of town (including LOTS of Korean and Asian-owned businesses, convenience stores, etc.) were specifically targeted by rioters because (supposedly) they sucked up the local money from the Black community and spent it in their own Korean or Asian area of town. They were portrayed as "exploiting the locals - always taking from them and never giving anything back."

Rocky Davis
My browser will not allow me to cut and paste here (I don't know why). The link was to a Dartmouth history document called "Media Misrepresentations of the LA Riot from a Korean-American Perspective" by Carolyn Lee. It deals with the Korean community being specifically targeted by the Black community.

The Asians by opening a store for the convenience of the local population are not impeding other ethnical groups from opening theirs - even if one could classify businesses by racial criteria but it looks like somebody does - so what would be the effect the time between said Asians taking off all at once and other group (more Asians?) restoring the previous situation by setting up equivalent shops? If a barbershop closes a mobile phone shop opens in the same place, business is like that, regardless of skin colour. Or should be, I say. And if Koreans or whatever are so prevalent possibly is because they have better and more cohesive supporting or logistic chains ensuring better supply and management, thereby being able to provide a better service to the customer. Therefore the dumbness.
Rocky Davis
Yep - but the African-American community doesn't always operate with logic at the forefront of the brain. Lots of times, it is illogical anger and resentment that shows its ugly head from them and, once illogical anger and resentment are there, it's damn near impossible to deal with in any sort of mature, intelligent way. Considering how most non-white immigrants who come to the US thrive, perhaps it is time for the black community to be a bit honest as to why their problems are only getting worse. Looking at their criminality/education/out of wedlock birth rates/etc in the last century and how they are trending is truly terrifying. They only have to look at the arab world to see how far blaming others for all their ills can get them.

Why would the leaders of the community do that when their power in entrenched in professional victimhood and racism. Just look at how those who dare step out of line from the political dogma are treated by the community. What incentive do you have when all you're going to end up is a outcast accused of being a race traitor and inauthentic member of your race. rmgill
I have spoken to folks from Jamaica to Africa, each opine at the utter strangeness of the American Black Culture's self pity party. They note that americans of all colors have a great many advantage that those immigrants from Africa do not have at all. Lazy has been one of the words I have heard expressed.
