h18w777 Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 Is the second photo from this time frame? It shows an early T-90 and BMP-3...Possible that earlier images will slip through despite "last 24 hours" search parameter. I have found media outlets using Victory Day parade images to illustrate their Ukraine articles! More photos
h18w777 Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 Battle damage. Anyone else getting visions of West Germany about 1989?
h18w777 Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 Question for the experts. Why are we seeing so many tanks with the fendering and reactive armor stripped off? Clearance and/or weight restrictions during transport?

Roman Alymov Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 (edited) This guy (nicknabed Barbos) is reported to be best BTR commander Edited August 21, 2014 by Roman Alymov
h18w777 Posted August 21, 2014 Author Posted August 21, 2014 Nice selection of imagery added! Thanks!
Archie Pellagio Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Is it just the one IS3 being photographed fifty thousand times or are there a bunch of them?
Gavin-Phillips Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Is it just the one IS3 being photographed fifty thousand times or are there a bunch of them? I've only heard of the one being removed from the plinth and "restored to running order". Perhaps its just the fact that its so "different" that it has attracted so much interest. Almost like a trophy really I suppose... I'd like to see a few more pictures of that BMD-2 with the white face painted on the nose!
wendist Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Note icon replacing ERA...I´m sure it will work like a charm!
h18w777 Posted August 24, 2014 Author Posted August 24, 2014 Included in this group are some battle damage photos. We never seem to have enough of those to help the modelers!
h18w777 Posted August 24, 2014 Author Posted August 24, 2014 "The Ukrainian BTR-4 APC withstood couple of RPG hits during the fight against pro-Russia and Russian terrorists near Slovyansk (Ukraine)."
h18w777 Posted August 24, 2014 Author Posted August 24, 2014 (edited) More of the BTR "The BTR-4 withstood RPG hits and successfully evacuated wounded Ukrainian soldiers. The spaced armour proven their their ability to save lives. Since the RPG hits caused only minor damages, this BTR-4 will rejoin the counter-terrorist forces tomorrow."
