Heirophant Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 That is the dangerous side in Japan. It is not violence. It is isolation and despair driven to acute levels by the machinery of capitalism. That for a person to fed on that material puts shame on them, a shame on their face that can't be hidden, as sub-cautiously, they know they consume dirty materials and wish to hide that. The isolation and shame acts as a catalyst and goes up and up. At some point, it over comes the will to survive. Hence a cause of the high suicide rate. I stand firmly against that filth as the industry size behind it is far beyond the point of a little societal wiggle for stress relief, reasonable level of freedom of expression, or exploration. Post it here if you must, but as it is greater than it should, you'll have to pardon my take on it as I won't hold my tongue and let it go without objection. It is disgusting and defiling, a true cause of almost inescapable despair. As a teacher (English) part of my job is quite the opposite, it is to inspire, to motivate, and even for some, to give hope.. along with developing the skill of English. Well, the Japanese are always at pains to distance themselves from other Asians. They say they are unique and different. Maybe they should be taken at their word?
JasonJ Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 (edited) That has nothing to do with capitalism.Capitalism is involved like it is involved in any other industry. It's not an argument against capitalism itself. It the use of free market, free enterprise, and desire to make more money, even when morally wrong. Capitalism is a vehicle to help it spread by exploiting sexual desires in weak minded people and using said profits to try making greater profit by making more exotic, more variety, products in anticipation of continuing the income flow. Well, the Japanese are always at pains to distance themselves from other Asians. They say they are unique and different. Maybe they should be taken at their word? They have their limits on how far they will distance themselves. Flying to Qutar and on to Europe, the flight was full Muslims in their white clothing. Nothing against Muslims here but a Japanese woman, western clothing, dyed hair, found greater familiarity from the Korean woman next to her. Taiwan is another that they won't distance themselves very far from. North Korea is obvious, how could they be blamed. China is a mixed bag. Many Chinese from what I can tell from Chino's post, lack the settle, on the surface gentle approach. A Japanese commoner won't have to try hard to be different from a Chinese commoner. Furthermore, the perversion I addressed above is largely sociological issues, not nationalism.
mnm Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Furthermore, the perversion I addressed above is largely sociological issues, not nationalism. Hey Tomas, there's a package for you!
toysoldier Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 They are talking about repressed, closeted, bitter perverts... AFAIK the only thing Tomas is repressing are his urges to kill
Fritz Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Here's a really good article about the serious problem with Japan today (also read the comments after it). http://japaneseruleof7.com/sex-in-japan/

Corinthian Posted November 25, 2014 Author Posted November 25, 2014 The first few minutes is sorta NSFW, the second one after that is painful, I haven't seen the rest
JasonJ Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 The first few minutes is sorta NSFW, the second one after that is painful, I haven't seen the restThe first few minutes was oh yep although anyway yeah I thoroughly enjoyed the rest May watch it again when I got a beer with me. That group of comedians (well the two main ones) are called DownTown and their good to watch with beer on those days. This one sort of made me think of some of the kids I teach, how they want to joke around and such while I have to impose limits for the sake of the class. I sometimes feel bad for getting firm on them. But this helps me feel better about it.
Corinthian Posted November 26, 2014 Author Posted November 26, 2014 I really find it funny how the Japanese men scream in these comedy game shows.
JasonJ Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 I really find it funny how the Japanese men scream in these comedy game shows. The comedians are screaming for most Japanese men that have to say "Hai, Hai, Hai, ehh, hai, hai, sou desu, hai, hai, hai, wakarimashita, hai, hai" and are really screaming and squeaking in their heads. At least that's what I think.
DesertEagle Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Who would have thunk this one up? I give you synchronized walking.
