Considering how many don't get married nor seem interested in getting married, it's not too surprising that some will do things like that. Some of the young women that get into it, among many reasons I'd imagine, either get into it because they are bad academically thus have little hope in finding a decent full time paying job, or do work and study hard and just become extremely bored/lonely with the same routine over and over and the routine doesn't allow enough time for a proper relationship.

So I have to ask. Would it be easy for someone (American, not rich, old [50's], and overweight) to find an attractive (Not some kid 30's to 40's) Japanese wife? Not looking but wondering if I have options.

There is some availability although I wouldn't call it easy. If the woman is thinking of becoming a wife and not looking for an entertainment relationship, she will look for traits that would help raise a healthy family. My gut feeling is that it would be difficult unless the listed criteria was altered a bit. A good amount of the combination of humor, interpersonal communication ability, academic intelligence, dependability, etc is of course required but I think a bit more of it might be needed to counter older age and probably would be needed to counter overweight although if its just a little overweight, than probably not really an issue. But hey, it's difficult to say about other people's preferences.

Past the raising or starting a family stage. My youngest just turned 21. And I currently happily married (No seriouly I am). However, ever since watching Ultra-Man as a kid I have always wanted to marry a Japanese woman. Just a fantasy at this point.

Hmm interesting. But at least things still seemed to have worked out well, perhaps even better :)

For a dry beer it looks rather moist, at least on the outside.

Ok, wot was that music video in the end? Seems to be a sexier, cuter, K-Pop (?) or J-Pop version of that ultra weird Chinese music video hehehehe

As for flipping tables, kinda meh hehehe because over here, at least there's one restaurant where you can pay to throw REAL THINGS at a wall, ranging from el cheapo saucers, to WHOLE TELEVISION SETS. :D

On the subjects of the fantasy japanese wife...

http://anusha.com/banshee.htm

Women are women.

Maybe the man himself had something to do with the banshee part. Well, more seriously, could also be due to cultural differences. I've seen many relationships fail between young American men and young Japanese women fail. Of course all don't fail. They both sometimes jump into a relationship too quickly and advance the relationship too quickly like to the stage of marriage before they actually understand what they got themselves into, like others of any other combination of ethnicity really.. Usually initially it's fresh and great but later cultural differences amplify disputes and misunderstandings. The dude calling banshee probably sees no fault on his side and I bet there is some on his side and/or it's just cultural difference and the Japanese girl has lost tolerance for the difference.

It's K-pop, the girl group is T-ara.

Pretty catchy sound this song has.

Maybe this is the actual MV of it, not sure what the above one is.

This one is actually mostly in Japanese, not Korean where as the one in the post above is in Korean. The Korean wave was strong, them making separate MV's for the Japanese market.

On the thing of cultural differences, I know Americans are stereotyped by many other cultures as being loud, and also obnoxious. I find all Asian women attractive, but especially Chinese, and Korean. For a couple decades now, I have dined at a little hole in the wall Chinese place that specializes in the ultra sweet and deep fried American Chinese food we tend to love. One of the things I had to get culturally adjusted to was listening to the workers talk to each other in Chinese, not sure which dialect. At first from their tone, inflection, and volume, I thought they were all majorly pissed at each other all the time. But over time as different workers came and went I realized that was just normal, and in fact they were probably all joking and laughing at us Americans stuffing ourselves with the chicken of a famous Chinese general. . Where it all ties in was it got me to thinking one day if I was ever to form a relationship with a Chinese woman, I am not sure I would be ready for the holy hell that would be unleashed on me when I eventually pissed her off.

Yeah, I think some people jump into inter-cultural relationships before making observations like that.

Something I have noticed is that the sounds of foreign language in a social setting of a mix of different people tend to make some people think that they are being spoken badly of which is often not the case.

Ah I was not meaning to accuse them of anything, but their job sucked, they worked 12 hours a day, 7 days a week in a tiny hot kitchen, I doubt they even got payed minimum wage, and I watched them deal with a lot of Americans, who were assholes to them, not so much because they were Chinese but just because that is what its like dealing with the public. I would be talking crap and having a laugh at assholes expense if they couldn't understand me to relieve stress if I was them. .

There was a family acquaintance who worked as a city health inspector. He thought we were nuts for eating there. I guess their idea of hygienic was not always up to code. As a joke we served him some take out from there for lunch one day. I don't think he was amused.

On the subjects of the fantasy japanese wife...

http://anusha.com/banshee.htm

From the same site :D

Millions of Japanese tourists go to America every year. However, after studying English for years in school books, they find that when they arrive in America they cannot understand what is going on. The reason: Their teachers in Japan never taught them how to talk dirty in English.

This bi-lingual book fills this gap. Each page has an explanation of dirty words and expressions in English and the facing page has an explanation of the equivalent dirty words in Japanese.

Here is a sample:

Say you are in Japan and you are fucking your Japanese friend's wife. He breaks in and says to you:

Nani yatten' do yo

This means "What the fuck are you doing?"

Following this, he says:

Koko de nani yatten' da. Hayaku usero!

This means: "Get the fuck out of here."

However, his wife is a fine piece of ass and naturally you do not want to stop fucking her, so you say to him:

Oi! omae no kamisan to yatteiru tokoro da ga nanika monku akka.

This means: "Well, I'm going to keep right on fucking her, so what the fuck are you going to do about it?"

I used to go to a local chinese restaurant when I lived a few towns over from where I live now. It was run by a couple and their tween daughter. It was downright uncomfortable to listen to the mother/wife rip into the others non-stop. :ninja:
