Corinthian
Judge Hideaki Higuchi has challenged Abe's government head on according to the New York Times. This is a brave action to take, and worthy of respect. Key points: Nuclear Reactors in Japan Remain Closed by Judge’s Order Well shit. There goes our own nuclear program (or rather, one of our local congressman's advocacy of relaunching our sole nuclear powerplant - he was waiting for Japan's go ahead for their nuke power situation so our congressman can lobby stronger in Congress and our president). Or have japanese people an extreme phobia?

Panzermann
Seen that too. But I wonder why? It is not like Japan was poor and cannot afford dental care for its citizens. Either paid for by state or out of private pocket.
urbanoid
When I read a blog of one Polish chick living in Japan with her husband, she had few good things to say about Japanese dentists, but those crooked teeth are considered cute by many Japanese man, so some Japanese women go even as far as to make themselves 'fake' crooked teeth. http://www.japantoday.com/category/lifestyle/view/why-japanese-women-go-for-fake-crooked-teeth

Edmund
Considering how many don't get married nor seem interested in getting married, it's not too surprising that some will do things like that. Some of the young women that get into it, among many reasons I'd imagine, either get into it because they are bad academically thus have little hope in finding a decent full time paying job, or do work and study hard and just become extremely bored/lonely with the same routine over and over and the routine doesn't allow enough time for a proper relationship. So I have to ask. Would it be easy for someone (American, not rich, old [50's], and overweight) to find an attractive (Not some kid 30's to 40's) Japanese wife? Not looking but wondering if I have options.

Not looking but wondering if I have options. There is some availability although I wouldn't call it easy. If the woman is thinking of becoming a wife and not looking for an entertainment relationship, she will look for traits that would help raise a healthy family. My gut feeling is that it would be difficult unless the listed criteria was altered a bit. A good amount of the combination of humor, interpersonal communication ability, academic intelligence, dependability, etc is of course required but I think a bit more of it might be needed to counter older age and probably would be needed to counter overweight although if its just a little overweight, than probably not really an issue. But hey, it's difficult to say about other people's preferences.

JasonJ
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mg00QKr4LAI Looks like it might be handy for older slower people. Speaking of sushi, here is a sushi restaurant chain below called Kura Sushi. I love it. The sushi dishes move on conveyor belts past the dining tables and counters and the customers just take what they like. After they eat it, they put the plate into the slot where the plates are counted up and the customers pay for how many plates they ate after he pushes the finished button. Specific plates can also be ordered from the touch screen menu and a high speed tray on a separate track delivers the ordered plate to the customer. mnm
I've been aware of these sushi robots for a few years already. Sweet as cows tits, but they do cost a lot for a household context. And I've already eaten at one of those conveyor belt systems, the problem was customers downstream not seeing any
Mr King
Some extended family of mine spent over a year in Japan, and they loved those conveyor belt sushi places. That was something they mentioned a few times when talking about Japan. They said it was really fresh, high quality, and inexpensive.

Mr King
There is a Chinese restaurant near my home that features a deal where you can pay a price and eat as much sushi as you like, with the stipulation that you will have to pay 1 additional dollar for every piece you don't finish. Granted it is not the highest quality sushi by far, but Americans are willing to over look that when there is all you can eat on the line.
Corinthian
There's a Korean restaurant that has a Meat All You Can buffet. You choose either pork or beef strips to grill, which you can refill on and on as long as you can finish it. You pay a penalty if you have left overs. I'm so fat because of that restaurant!
