Can you explain what this is about? Very confused. Anyway the girls are cute. Hopefully age apropriate.

Lol, age is ok. The Youtube video was uploaded around the time the girl group started becoming a big hit. Naturally, they didn't go on TV programs until they were a huge hit. So the episode happened in either 2009 or 2010 making them around 22 years old at the time of this show. They are 26 right now, two will turn 27 later this year.

Basically, the show is the guy has to keep his cool, not lose composure, or just keep his general usual state of emotion. The girl tries to break that composure. The skit ends with the guy saying how effectively his composure was broken with either "wazaari" or "ippon" meaning "half point" "1 point" respectively in Judo scoring. I'm pretty sure there is a "no point" result but I don't remember what it was.

So depending on the skit, the girl breaks his composure with cuteness, clever expressions of irritation, etc.

So for example, the video game playing skit starting at 1:10. Girl is Kashiyuka. Guy is Atsushi. Keep in mind some of the translations are not direct translation word to word but closer to situational translation in order to be closer to the actual essence of the situation.

Kahiyuka: Hey, Atsushi.. Hey.. Is that game fun?

Atsushi: Yeah it's fun.

Kashiyuka: So can your teach me it?

Atsushi: You can't do it.

Kashiyuka: Why?! Teaching it should be ok.

Atsushi: You can't do it, you're slow.

Kashiyuka: Well if you don't teach me then you can't really know.

Atsushi: You're slow, you can't.

Kashiyuka: Teach me.

Atsushi: No I will not.

Kashiyuka: Why?!

Atsushi: I've been saying because you're slow! ...you're slow.

Kashiyuka: He's terrible!!

Atsushi: You're slow.

Kashiyuka: Too terrible!! unbelievable!

Atsushi: yeah, you're slow.

Kashiyuka: ..you're bullying me.

Atsushi: bullyi.. IPPON!

Judge Hideaki Higuchi has challenged Abe's government head on according to the New York Times. This is a brave action to take, and worthy of respect.

Key points:

Nuclear Reactors in Japan Remain Closed by Judge’s Order

April 14, 2015

On Tuesday, a local judge blocked the latest attempt to get atomic power back on the grid, issuing an injunction forbidding the restarting of two nuclear reactors at the Takahama power plant in the region.

It is a potential stumbling block for Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s efforts to rekindle economic growth, which have focused on increasing corporate profits and consumer spending.

Yoshihide Suga, the chief cabinet secretary for Mr. Abe, questioned the scientific rationale for the Fukui court’s decision and said it would not alter the government’s support for nuclear power.

But in his ruling on Tuesday, the judge, Hideaki Higuchi, challenged the adequacy of the standards, which cover things like plants’ resistance to earthquakes and tsunamis.

“There is little rational basis for saying that an earthquake with a magnitude that exceeds the safety standard will not occur,” said Judge Higuchi, 62. “It is an optimistic view.”

The reactors had been widely expected to return to service by the end of the year. While Kansai Electric said it would appeal, experts said its plans could be delayed by months or even years.

It was the second time Judge Higuchi had issued an order forbidding a nuclear plant in Fukui to operate, and he remains the only judge in Japan to have ruled against a utility over nuclear restarts since Fukushima.

Judge Higuchi’s decision on Tuesday was potentially more significant because it directly challenged the new safety standards set out by the Nuclear Regulation Authority. It was his first ruling against a plant that had been certified as safe under the new regulations.

It is now official: Japan is once again the No. 1 holder of U.S Treasurys.

This is significant in various ways. Japan has obviously decided the time is right to reclaim that position.

According to these numbers, the amount held by foreign countries changes every month going up and down. Although the trend shows an overall raise in Japanese holdings but a very slow raise. It's looks very even actually. China's holdings took a small trend downward starting in October 2014 and just kept dropping little by little each month until February (latest month here) where it dips below Japan for the first time in awhile. I wouldn't be too surprise if China's pulled back up above Japan's but it would be something if Chinese holdings keep on dropping some more.

It seems that the judge in the nuclear reactor case is looking for absolute guarantees of safety. The interesting part comes when one attempts to determine the balance between the consequences of re-activating the facilities and thsoe of leaving them shut down.

How many people died as a consequence of the Fukushima reactor failures, as opposed to dying as a result of the tsunami? How many people will suffer as a result of the ensuing consequences of shutting down all of the Japanese reactors?

Some more statistics, probability theory, and risk analysis should be compulsory teaching in secondary education. How can a judge with no functioning knowledge on the matter make a court decision?

Surely that judge never leaves his bed. He could be struck by lightning while being swarmed by killer bees, as he falls into a swimming pool and drowns! :)

Considering how many don't get married nor seem interested in getting married, it's not too surprising that some will do things like that. Some of the young women that get into it, among many reasons I'd imagine, either get into it because they are bad academically thus have little hope in finding a decent full time paying job, or do work and study hard and just become extremely bored/lonely with the same routine over and over and the routine doesn't allow enough time for a proper relationship.
