DougRichards Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Nah, that is just another use of technology captured by the Germans, but from a previous war....
Mikel2 Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 I always wondered... Given how mechanically fragile and underpowered those early tanks were, how long could a tank tow another before you ended up with two tanks needing to be towed??
Adam_S Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 (edited) So how did German use of tanks differ from how the British used them? In the British Army, tanks were very much part integrated into the battle plan by the end of the war. Did the Germans have an established doctrine for how to use captured armor or did it they just kind of thrown it onto the battlefield and hope for the best? Also, in what kind of numbers did they manage to field captured tanks compared to their original owners? Edited August 20, 2014 by Adam_S
