Anixtu Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 HMS Manchester firing a SeaDart missile for the last time. That picture is HMS Edinburgh.
MiloMorai Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Post #54 is of a French ship, the frigate Latouche-Tréville (D646).
sunday Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Post #54 is of a French ship, the frigate Latouche-Tréville (D646). Yep, an excellent ad for the Armée de l'Air.
BansheeOne Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 (edited) Nope, German Type 124, same as post #52. APAR and SMART-L radars, open cutter bay is easy distinguishing feature from Dutch De Zeven Provinciën class. ETA: Wrong again, it's actually a Danish Iver Huitfeldt class; different position of funnels to (fully enclosed) boat bay is giveaway. Edited May 21, 2014 by BansheeOne
MiloMorai Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Memory failure. This is the French ship http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IoNC52xF4RY
Colin Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 technically a navy boat http://gcaptain.com/susitna-worlds-ridiculous-vessel-is-up-for-sale/
R011 Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Memory failure. This is the French ship http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IoNC52xF4RY Imagine doing that for years in a ship a third the size knowing that if the weather gets better, someone in another ship will try to kill you - or even in a ship much smaller than that made of wood powered by sails.
Yama Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 At Sevastopol: on the left is Ochakov, last of the Kara-class. One the right, Admiral Levchenko, Udaloy-class destroyer visiting from the Northern Fleet. (BSF does not operate Udaloys).
Mr King Posted May 25, 2014 Author Posted May 25, 2014 Looks like a US sub. Hope that was a SINKEX It was. From the 60's. USS Devil Fish being sunk by another US sub.
Yama Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 "Cruiser Varyag leading Russian battle line in 2nd battle of Yellow Sea" Seriously, the pic is from joint exercise between PLAN and Russian Pacific Fleet. More pics here.

Garth Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 A classic; 'Murderers Row':Third Fleet aircraft carriers at anchor in Ulithi Atoll, 8 December 1944, during a break from operations in the Philippines area. The carriers are (from front to back): USS Wasp (CV-18), USS Yorktown (CV-10), USS Hornet (CV-12), USS Hancock (CV-19) and USS Ticonderoga (CV-14). http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Murderers_row_at_Ulithi_atoll.jpg The dark gray Essex-class carrier on the left is Lexington (CV-16)
Garth Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Not a warship, but incredibly surreal. The wreck of the schooner Sweepstakes in Ontario. I couldn't imagine owning one of those places on the shoreline with that thing just sitting out there ...

All the times I have seen this photo, and I NEVER saw her!
