Corinthian Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I'm sorry, but I just find the name hilarious considering that Pegasus here is known for, uhm, well... http://pegasus.ktvphil.com/ BTT.... (SO SORRY!)

sunday Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 A cross eyed Pegasus? How does it not fly into a tree? Actually, she does.
Corinthian Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Should have called it the "Kickback".N.I.H US might have been more accurate. Pronounced as "Nigh Yus"
JW Collins Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 A cross eyed Pegasus? How does it not fly into a tree?Actually, she does.Thats a start but it needs to be wearing some reflective belts to really represent the the USAF.

There's got to be some kind of political satire about waste in the F-35 program in this Edited February 21, 2014 by Max H
JW Collins Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Wow, ponies are deep sociopolitical commentary.
Paul in Qatar Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 How long have they been pushing the papers on this? ISTR this was John McCain's #1 priority after 9-11. (Heck it was everyone's #1 priority.)

JW Collins Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Were I a pilot on one of these I would so totally paint thatmlp pegasus as nose art. with reflective belt. My view on those evil ponies aside, that would be great. Unusual name for a tanker really. I was expecting Stratotanker II or something.
Panzermann Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 I am not that fond of MLP myself. Mostly because it got out of hand in recent years. Yeah, naming a tanker. Well I like KC-10 Extender. perfectly describes the purpose. Hmm. Globalizer?Grand Mileage?Gas Station?Fueller?pump nozzle?Gas Guzzler?
Panzermann Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle 7 approaching!

a77 Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Should have called it the "Kickback". Or "Protectionism"
Panzermann Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 They are not jumping from sub-sonic to twice supersonic at Mach 2 without properly adjusting training and thinking that the experienced pilots need only a short go around and are flight ready. The Bundeswehr totally underestimated the problems associated with Mach 2 flight. Really, a 767 is not that different from a 707 or KC-10 in speed and other characteristics. And I do not think they will go cheap on the training.
