Brussels, Belgium:

EU countries will send "fighter jets" to Ukraine at Kyiv's request to help it counter the Russian air and land assault, the bloc's foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said Sunday.

"We're going to provide even fighting jets. We're not talking about just ammunition. We are providing more important arms to go to a war," he told a press conference.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has told the EU "they need the kind of fighting jets that the Ukrainian army is able to operate... some member states have these kinds of planes," Borrell said.

Thats a valid reason to have Buks and I think i saw a Tunguska there, but then you should have the Buk fire unit set up 10km to the rear ready to fire and the Tunguskas same but close to the convoy. If they're all just among the convoy packed like sardines with the other traffic, with radars stowed for travel, they're just high-value targets to be picked by Bayraktars.

They will presumably be deploying infantry and drones along the flanks of the supply routes, and will need to escort convoys with drones and attack helicopters.  Almost like a WW2 Atlantic Convoy.

Agreed in 2 days Kiev is taken and the Ukrainians are done.

I think they're going to attempt to surround Kiev and cut off the food supply.

Could be a guided bomb. Perhaps serial detonation of HE rounds in the carousel is enough to do it.

Japan will slap sanctions on Belarus over its "clear involvement" in the Russian invasion of Ukraine, zeroing in on President Alexander Lukashenko and other Belarusian individuals, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said Monday just as talks between Kyiv and Moscow got under way.

Belarus, known for its close ties with Russia and serving as an entry point for Russian forces invading Ukraine, will also be subject to Japan's export controls.

An OF-26 in the path of Javelin jet should be quite enough initiate that kind of reaction. High-order detonation of the shells themselves may not be the usual outcome but we've seen that happen with TOW hits through lower hull before in Syria so nothing unheard of, either.

It's a T-80U I think. A second video shows an abandoned T-80U being set on fire.

Possible explanation of why the heavy lifting is being done by Chechens and the VDV.

In fact judging by the age of some POW'S, at least some must be conscripts, but there may be an attempt to keep numbers low. It would explain the lack of infantry.

So the air war is going well but also, the Ukrainian air force is running out of fighter jets?

Some more T80s for Stuart can be seen in this clip (a few of these vehicles have been seen earlier), a little hard to say what is being shown (disregard the sensational twitter headlines) as some might be combat kills, while others seem to be accidents during road march or general advance. Also note several command versions of BMP among them.

Tony best me to it. Sorry I'm in a car park and connection spotty.

It's staggering, it's like the Ardennes in February 1945.

The current Texas Republican Congressman made the comments on Fox News after Vladimir Putin ordered the bombardment of Ukrainian military infrastructure across the country.

“The whole country is seeing his mental cognitive issues on display for over a year now, and there’s really no question in most people’s minds that there’s something going on with him,” said Jackson.

“He’s not cognitively the same as he used to be and, in my mind, not fit to be our president right now,” he added.

The Congressman said that the 79-year-old representing America at a time when a message of strength needs to be sent isn’t going to end well.
