I don’t think they changed much after February 24 How much of the issues we're seeing with questionable PoW/KIA figures and their supposed inability to properly train/field foreign volunteers (if that reddit account posted is accurate) is due to dishonesty/corruption and how much could be due to a simple lack of capability? One simply doesn't flush out all corruption and turn your military into a first rate force overnight (especially with lack of money and a civil war/insurgency/conflict raging in several of your provinces). I'm curious... what's Ukraine's command and control like? Are they even coordinating all their forces or are many units effectively on their own (in particular the regular army units in the East and the various civil defense/national guard/whatever formations popping up all over (for these latter units western news reports leave the impression they're just off doing their own thing)? Do they even have the capability to coordinate and control all their forces?

I keep reading various analysis of this situation, but nobody seems to have a convincing solution to offer, not even a suggestion 😕 Looks like three general outcomes possible to me. Outcome 1 is that Russia eventually steamrolls Ukraine and about half its population votes with their feet to join the EU. Outcome 2 is that NATO calls on nuclear sillybuggers. Outcome 3 would be that the Russians decide to cut their investment and settle for some compromise. Problem with #3 is that the West will not drop sanctions, so compromise is now impossible. That leaves 1 or 2 as the most likely outcomes.

futon
March 14 (Reuters) - Russia will use Chinese yuan from its foreign exchange reserves after Western sanctions blocked Moscow's access to the U.S. dollars and euros in the reserves, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said on Monday. The finance ministry will instruct the payment of a coupon on a sovereign Eurobond issue due on Wednesday in foreign currency but payment could alternatively be made in roubles if the forex payment request is rejected by Western banks, he said. From Russia's point of view, paying a Eurobond coupon in roubles would still mean the government is fulfilling its foreign debt obligations, Siluanov added. https://www.reuters.com/business/russia-use-yuan-its-forex-reserves-finance-minister-says-2022-03-14/
Simon Tan
Why would Chinese MREs have American cultural artifacts? More precisely, why do you take any of this American garbage propaganda as gospel in spite of official Chinese rebuttals? It is because you want to believe. Simon Tan
If the Russians are in strategic logistical difficulties, why are they also 'advancing on Kyiv'? They are not really. Kiev are Kharkov are holding operations. It is a constant narrative fed to the simple minded and lazy home public which can and will not question their masters. The west pushes Ukraine into accepting some sort of settlement with Russian acceptance in that they can get out of the potential quagmire with an acceptable en. Yesterday my neighbor was shaking his head in amazement that an average house near him went for 1.3 million dollars. Today I talked to the repair shop on a routine alternator fix, and was told that nobody in Canada can get the required part anymore, with no fill date for backorders. He said that this state of affairs will be the case for many starters and alternators for the forseeable future. A buddy of mine works for a car plant in Ontario - they're averaging 2 days down per week vs. 3 on the line, due to lack of parts. I have a shipping container inbound from China that has cost $20,000 to ship, (versus $4,000 three years ago) and is taking 3-4 months in transit, (vs 1.5 months three years ago). That's my Canada since Saturday. Glad to hear of our inevitable economic victory. As I said the economic weakness is in manufacturing, that's is a definite weakness that won't be fixed anytime soon. I didn't say that I thought what they had to say was accurate or reliable. 🥔 😑 I'm just not sure where to go for what is reliable. Frankly, I mostly look at TNN which is where we seem to pick stuff apart and find the kernels of truth if any. Biggest reason is that Russian EW isn’t being utilized at all, not one bit. The Russians haven’t even tried to jam the comms of UA like they did in 2014 and 2015, and a lot of people are scratching their heads over this.
