If there is a SCOTUS ruling which you feel conflicts with your view, presumably there is also a SCOTUS ruling you feel that conforms with your view. Knowing what I know about SCOTUS rulings on this subject I KNOW that there are SCOTUS rulings that the antigun crowd likes to cite as conforming with and supporting their views but they rarely understand those rulings.

Learn some basic logic.

Well, logic isn't exactly my weak spot. But I see you moved on instead of understanding what the challenge was about. That's one way to deal with text comprehension issues.

BTW, interesting to see this insistence on SCOTUS rulings. It befits a country that has a rule of law. Can the right wing reconcile this with its abortion stance and support for Moore?

Looks like the right wing is cherrypicking to me. SCOTUS agrees = SCOTUS ruling is end point of discussion, dissenters shall shut up! SCOTUS disagrees = let's work around it, if not disrespect SCOTUS rulings outright and vote one of us into office who has violated the rule of law repeatedly and was defiant to SCOTUS orders.

But I digress. This was a better fit for the 'hypocrisy of the right' thread.

Wait... there was substance to this discussion? I thought this was a strawman and windmill only zone.

Not so you'd notice. Currently were being lectured about US law by dingo.....

I thought he was Brian? ;)

Well, I think so, but I can't convince anybody, except maybe you..... :D

How do you say Don Quixote in German?

The quijote is either the thig piece of plate armor, or the articulated skirts on both sides.

Di(e)chlinge in german..

though Ssnake's translation is also correct in a way, because Don Quixote is also called the "knight of the sad guise". Normally just called by his olde fashioned spanish name "Donn Kischotte" as in the novel. no x->j consonant shift

edit: or you could say Herr Eisenschenkel more poetically ^_^

"I Saw the Kate Steinle Murder Trial Up Close. The Jury Didn’t Botch It."

By PHIL VAN STOCKUM

December 06, 2017

https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/12/06/kate-steinle-murder-trial-jury-didnt-botch-216016

Compare the measured, objective and diligent approach of the replacement juror who wrote the article with the hostile comments by right wingers that it sparked.

I saw such conflicts many times. This is simply no sensible dialogue in any way. Large parts of the not politically apathetic/abstaining population in the U.S. appear to have become unable to comprehend or even only reasonably converse with each other.

And this court case shouldn't even be political !
