JasonJ Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 Alt-right sounds like a PC term for crazy whites.
Panzermann Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 I heard it explained as "alternative right" hence the insult "cuckservative" for the establishment conservatives because they see themselves as the alternitave to the old conservatives. Also they very much use the same techniques as the lefty netizens (har har, so nineties that word) with twittering shitstorms, harassment on Face book and all that shit.
Panzermann Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 I never knew that Paul could make so much from so little..... So little? If Steve Bannon has been quoted as stating "Breitbart is the home of the alt right" and "Richard Spencer is the alt right's leading intellectual" and Milo states that the alt right are the online trolls attacking "cuckservatives", and that while not all alt right are white nationalists, the alt right movement started as white nationalists (not my opinion) Its not hard to come to the conclusion that Bannon has at the very least courted the alt right, and he is in the fucking White House.Anything that raises clicks and page impressions. And posting crazy extreme right wing stuff gets shared more than crazy left wing, because the lefties like to share right wing articles, whereas right wing rarely share left articles. Crazy over the top always works as click bait of course. Anything that raises clicks and thus advertisement revenue. I don't know if Bannon believes the stuff he put on breitbart or is just interested in the bottom line.

Well I didn't even know who Bannon was until you(and the MSM) started making an issue out of him. I know you think of TN a den of alt-right (wtf is alt-right anyway?) Maybe you should take a couple a deep breaths and relax, and quit worrying about the Pres Elect and his staff.Neither did I until I head Jonah Goldberg speak about it, and then Glenn Beck. So hardly the MSM. I'd you don't know what the alternative right I suggest you read those links I posted. No breath required.
rmgill Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 (edited) KKK/NeoNazis are legion and a force to be feared. The leftist protestors waving soviet flags, they're just isolated examples. Edited November 24, 2016 by rmgill
Paul G. Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 KKK/NeoNazis are legion and a force to be feared. The leftist protestors waving soviet flags, they're just isolated examples.Who's in the White house genius?
rmgill Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 Not a KKK/Neo Nazi. Stop cying wolf. This whole trump is a Nazi thing is really beneath even you Paul.
rmgill Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 From Ace of Spades... "In July of 2016, BronyCon, the annual convention for infantilized adults who love all things related to the children's TV show My Little Pony, drew 7600 attendees to the Baltimore Convention Center. NPI's convention last week in DC drew 200 assholes plus Tila Tequila. Any "movement" that draws 38 times fewer people than one dedicated to "adults" who dress up like cartoon horses ain't shit."
toysoldier Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 Now, now. Its obvious that Paul is scared. And we now the answer... group crying! I have the onions ready.
Mr King Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 It is amusing and not surprising Paul had none of these same issues with Obama supporters who trashed cities and carried out acts of terrorism on US soil.
Paul G. Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 You guys apparently in the Trump bubble. This is not coming from me, I mean I've posted links to interviews with CONSERVATIVE pundits that are alarmed about the alt right. Get over your bias just because I hurt your feelings.
Mobius Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 (edited) One example of hypocrisy of the right is that they complained over Obama's justice department taking over cities police departments with the use of consent decrees. Now Trump's justice department will be in control of those same police departments. Sanctuary cities will be enforcing federal immigration law no matter what their mayors are saying. The right will be cheering.Oh, you thought this was a slam.... Edited November 24, 2016 by Mobius
Paul G. Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 It is amusing and not surprising Paul had none of these same issues with Obama supporters who trashed cities and carried out acts of terrorism on US soil. They didn't have any real power.
rmgill Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 Mayors of course should have a power to veto federal law....
Paul G. Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 Not a KKK/Neo Nazi. Stop cying wolf. This whole trump is a Nazi thing is really beneath even you Paul.Strawman. I nor ANY of the sources I linked to use the Nazi term or KKK. Read...understand before knee jerk.
Mike Steele Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 Of course the alt Right is gigantic, evidenced by their flagship publication, The National Review.... http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/442404/awful-lot-media-coverage-about-200-losers-getting-together
Mr King Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 They didn't have any real power. You're just one fucking leftist bullshit trope after another.
EchoFiveMike Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 You guys apparently in the Trump bubble. This is not coming from me, I mean I've posted links to interviews with CONSERVATIVE neocon pundits shills that are alarmed about the alt right(because it threatens their meal ticket). Get over your bias just because I hurt your feelings. Fixed that bullshit for you. S/F....Ken M

So Paul you're endorsing all these sources or just this one time because it fits your narrative? Just so we are clear from here on out.
Paul G. Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 So I really don't GAS. It clear you guys minds are set.
Jeff Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 My guess is reality is somewhere between "Trump is playing 5D chess" and "every breath Trump takes is an abomination".
CT96 Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 My guess is reality is somewhere between "Trump is playing 5D chess" and "every breath Trump takes is an abomination".I think there are certainly some things Trump does because he knows it will generate a response - often even a response he wants. There are also some things he does that he doesn't realize the effects of. I use the "reasonably Randy" standard - Trump has not lived and breathed in DC for years, nor in politics for decades. He didn't start out as a town councilman or mayor... he went from Corporate CEO to POTUS as a direct step. SOME things apply in both realms. He doesn't know which those are. Take his going out for a steak dinner. Yes, usually the Press Corps has people that follow the POTUS (or POTUS-Elect) whenever and wherever they go. Giving the press the slip broke that "tradition" - and while there is a valid reason for that tradition, I did not know about it before the Press turned it into SteakGate. Reasonable Randy wouldn't know that (though Reasonable Randy POTUS's handlers certainly should), but Reasonable Randy wouldn't reasonably think that the Press would care how or when or where he eats his own dinner; nor go over his menu selection like the Zapruder Film. To the extent that Reasonable Randy thinks they care, it's more of a "in order to score political points" kind of care than legitimate reasons. If it were me suddenly finding myself as POTUS-Elect (God help us all), I quite likely would have made the same sort of mistake. If I had campaigned for the office as Trump did, I would even take getting the press twisted into knots as a selling point. He has done some brilliant moves, and he has done some boneheaded moves. Some of them are intentional, some of them are accidental. Either way, it's a steep learning curve for the office - even if you've been groomed for it; let alone being a functional political novice.
rmgill Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 Is it traditional for the press to be as vile to Trump as they have and then expect consideration in return?
JasonJ Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 (edited) Vile goes both ways, feeding each other, and continually reinforced by two basic factions of the people, one that supports the PC democratic feel good side and the people that are fed up with the PC supporting camp that developed an appetite for outlandish PC breaking comments that risk further radical behavior. If Trump can continue keeping down the rhetorical style during the campaign with only very selective use of it, then it'll still take awhile for the tone down be reflected in the media. But can Trump keep it toned down without being PC himself is to be seen. Edited November 25, 2016 by JasonJ
