Mostly, but the Fletcher played too close to its own BBs, if he had scouted ahead as he should, he could have boxed the Benham, provided the BBs supported him.

Well, yes, every ship is somewhat flawed, but dealing with a Benham requires a concerted effort, it's not going to succumb to a bit of dumb luck, and I don't think that it has a very high skill requirement.

 

And the player base is in general oh, so dumb.

How do you rent tier 10 ships for clan battles?

As far as I know, if you are in a clan and run a tier 8 ship in a random battle you get awarded a selection of T10s to use for that clan wars series.

Which i am and did, yet none appeared?

Is it a clan battles season? I know that sometimes I run a t8 battle and get awarded some clan battle ships and then at some point a month or two later they disappear. Since I'm not active in clan battles I don't really pay attention to it. Maybe check the WoT wiki?

They say the following about rental ships

 

When the Season starts, any player who plays a Clan, Co-op, or Random Battle steering a Tier VIII–X ship, will be given a set of three special Tier X ships for temporary use: X [Conqueror], X [Zaō], and X [Gearing]. On November 7, these will be replaced by X [Montana], X [Moskva], and X [shimakaze]. The final trio— X [Yamato], X [Hindenburg], and X [Grozovoi]—will arrive in your Port on November 22.

I find the phrase PR disaster pretty much on the nose given that the common abbreviation for Puerto Rico is PR.

And the translation in English is Rich Port, which seems to be what wargaming management is trying to do, make a killing.

I haven't bothered to look because I'm pretty well done with paying for anything WoW related, but is there any significant difference between the Puerto Rico and the Alaska?

According to Flamu, it's a worse Alaska, weighed down by its matchmaking. At the end of the day, for the average player, the gift will be Gorizia, but I am finding Italian cruisers quite meh

I feel like the Italians are meh, but have put it off to my drift away from the game and the consequent atrophy of my skills, such as they were. SAP seems slightly better than British cruiser AP but the rate of fire is much much lower, Granted I'm up to t6 so I don't know what they play like in the upper reaches.

You have a lot of resistance to frustration, the dpm is so appalling it should be dph.

I much prefer the WOT Christmas special perks over the WOWS and spent most time playing WOT to maximise that.

Yep, the PR thing was kind of meh and Gorizia was doable but the ship is frustrating. New RN cruisers are not very exciting either.

I've found the Hawkins to be pretty good, but I agree that Devonshire is a bit meh...

I haven't won any of the new cruisers, but I find I can't play more than three games a night now before something like a Smolensk gets away with 5 x 457mm overpens and then burns me to death.
