Word of advice: Do not go there to watch it! You'll get subjected to a politician's speech for a longer time than the parade lasts.

Any spots where you have a good view of the parade are in the backing sun.

Head straight for the AFV exhibit in the stadium.

PS: If you can get into a spot where you have a good view and aren't roasted alive, it should be great. Especially if they let Goliath's Polish cousin participate.

Very, very wise words.

Also, bring lots of cold water, and very comfy shoes.

Warsaw old quarters are really pretty, however.

This year, static exhibition will most likely be at the citadel, where Polish Armed Forces museum is located.

Yeah, it's still work in progress, I can say that slowly but steady, more and more heavy vehicles are moved there.

Seconded!

...If only the inauguration ceremony had been shorter. The square was heat central. And the reenactment was going on behind it: Enfields, Thompsons, fake Mannlichers....

And the pre industrial stuff. 👍🏻

Museums at citadel are expanding. I will visit citadel this week to see the progress, maybe I will make some photos.

Have they decided on a location? I'm off work the entire next week and might take a peek myself. Last time we were too done for too spend much time at the static display.

Yep, right now there is external exposition of historical heavy vehicles. Keep in mind, this is still work in progress.

Fun fact, this T-34-85 is not ordinary T-34-85. This is AFAIK Polish build after war, T-34-85M1 or T-34-85M2 at Zakłady Mechaniczne Bumar Łabędy factory. There is also one of the rare T-34-76. This is one of the early photos, more vehicles were brought there, and probably some more might come this week before Polish Armed Forces Day.

Important Note!

This year static display of historic and modern vehicles will be at Warsaw Citadel. And because Warsaw Citadel is next to the road along Wistula river where parade will be performed, you have a short way to traverse between both.

Its good to see that these vehicles are in such good condition, at least externally. But on the other hand its sad that they will be exposed to the elements of nature. Yes I know that it isnt possible to put everything in buildings, but at least there should be a lightweight roof above the exhibits. It isnt that expensive.

WIP is no problem. I, well we intend to go to the Military Technical Museum too. Matt said many heavy vehicles are still there.

Yes, there is plenty. We have there something like 18 T-34-85 and T-34-85M, but most are hidden and off the limits for the public.

These vehicles like many others are still under slow restoration. My friends that are doing these restorations, say that perhaps some roof will be placed over them.

Also there are preparations to start construction of second building, where ground vehicles and aircraft will be preserved and presented to the public after restoration. There are other ideas, but these are for the longer term future, so as uncertain, I will not share them here.

So today Polish MoD signed a contract with US government for procurement of 96 AH-64E Apache attack helicopters. Agreement includes of pilots and ground support personel, spare parts, munitions, there were also several offset agreements to service helicopters in Poland by polish industry.

Soon there should be a leasing agreement for 8 AH-64D's, these AH-64D's will be used to train pilots and support personel in Poland. First Polish Army pilots already underwent training in US.

Tommorow Polish MoD will sign contract for first batch of 28 from 300 planned, LOTR Kleszcz (Tick) amphibious recce vehicles, that will replace BRDM-2's. LOTR Kleszcz during it's production will be gradually improved, adding new capabilities.

The two of us by accident stumbled into a spot where we had a much better view of the parade than last year, when we actually wanted to see it.

Plus the weather was less evil.

💯

Thanks for the video, @Damian

That is great. Hopefully with time, also the museum complex will get better and better.
