Marek Tucan Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Hello, intersting announcment: "WoT lite" for tablets in development http://www.polygon.com/2013/3/26/4148438/world-of-tanks-blitz-wargaming-net-ios-android http://www.facebook.com/wotblitz?ref=stream
Harold Jones Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Controls will be interesting I expect. I suppose being able to share unlocks between WoT and Blitz will be too much to ask for.
sunday Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 Interesting. Some questions: - Smaller maps?- What tiers are to be expected?- Possible phone version?
Marek Tucan Posted March 27, 2013 Author Posted March 27, 2013 smaller maps definitely, also simpler than in WoT. Rest, so far n/a.
sunday Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 (edited) Thanks. BTW, When were you to tell me that my favorite (non Ballet dancer) Belorussian is now in Paris? Edited March 27, 2013 by sunday
Marek Tucan Posted March 27, 2013 Author Posted March 27, 2013 Oops completely forgot, yes, she is here now Shall I relay greetings?
sunday Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 Would be nice. Also you can discuss plans for micro I&I in Paris with her and husband.
Marek Tucan Posted November 28, 2014 Author Posted November 28, 2014 Android version is out Very Soon™!
Harold Jones Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 It's on the appstore. I installed it on my android tablet. One feature that many will like is the absence of arty. Also, even though progress and gold isn't shared between accounts I do have a beta sherman and LL M3 in my garage. No Idea if everyone gets one or if I got them because I have them in WoT. Haven't run a match yet been playing around with the garage and crew stuff. I did finish the tutorial, controls aren't terrible but it will take me a while to get used to them.
Harold Jones Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 I ran a couple matches, didn't do a single point of damage in either due to fighting the controls. They make perfect sense but I can see that it's going to be a long long learning curve for me to use them effectively.
FlyingCanOpener Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 I have a Tier 4 Soviet TD, and a 60% win rate thus far. TD's are so OP with the control scheme it's ludicrous because you don't have to worry about controlling the turret so you can focus the controls on just moving the hull. Knowing a bit about the game mechanics means you can ROFLstomp people constantly. Having said that, I've killed 6 tanks on 3 occasions (It's 7v7) and lost all 3 times. The skill gap at times is ludicrous. BTW, the money-grabbing the game does is stupid. Every time you get a decent game the game screams at you to get premium. Very tacky as compared to the PC version.
Harold Jones Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 I went TD because I figure that having to fight only one control would be the best route. I'm still not sold on the game, haven't experienced any prompting to buy premium but I assume that's because for some reason or other I have 4 days of premium time right now.
Stefan Fredriksson Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 When do you choose Blitz over normal Wot?
FlyingCanOpener Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 When I am at school during my planning period and have nothing better to do, so I can't play PC-based World of Tanks anyway.
Marek Tucan Posted December 8, 2014 Author Posted December 8, 2014 Turret isn't that bad, TBH... But aiming at weak points is harder (kinda similar to WoTX, though easier for me). So I am going for the KV
RETAC21 Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 My children love it, one of them just got 2nd class, scout, top gun, patrol duty and 2 more on the T1 Heavy. I guess it evens the field with the grown ups.
Harold Jones Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 I've been playing while 'watching' football and the like just to test it out. I'm kind of done with it at home, but I suspect that this will be something I dink around with when I travel for work.
Harold Jones Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 So there's a PC version of this on seam http://store.steampowered.com/app/444200/ They are doing a beta weekend. What I know is that it is 7v7, no arty, mm is plus or minus 1, vehicles are not the same as WoT, research is different. I'm 99% certain that this is not nor will it ever be integrated with your WoT/WoWP, or WoWS account. No idea how it plays on the PC, I didn't play it much on my tablet and probably won't install it on my PC but thought someone might be interested.
