jwduquette1 Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 I figure if it can't be answered at TankNet, than it can't be answered anywhere. I started playing World of Tanks a couple months back. Good fun and rather like eating peanuts. Each battle is short and sweet (or I suppose salty if I stick with the peanut analogy). Anyhoo... I just got a German called the VK3601(H). One of the main gun options for the VK3601(H) is a 75mmL58. I decided to give it a try. One of the ammunition types for the 75mmL58 is APC"N"R. I've seen alot of German armor piercing ammunition designs for WWII -- service rounds and experimental. They fielded and experimented with lotz of APCR types. But I have yet to come across APCNR. Anyone have any insights into what this thing might be? Or is the "N" part a typo?
Max H Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 It's a squeezebore firing AP Composite Non Rigid. Like the littlejohn adaptor, or the PaK 41
Mobius Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 The Germans translated name was conical-barreled.
