Does anyone know of a resource that lists repair times for various modules on each tank?

I'm curious because these Chinese tanks seem to take a lot longer to make repairs. I understand I've been mostly playing high tiers with crews that have 100% repair before this, but it still feels like it takes an eternity to do repairs (specifically, tracks). Have repair kits on most of my Chinese tanks but it doesn't seem to help all that much.

Drum reload.

Btw, rammer on tank with autoloader, will it shorten time between shots, or shorten drum reload? Or both?

Pretty sure rammers are not available on autoloader tanks?

the chinese tier 6 and 7 lights may be the exception, being the only tanks with both a regular gun and a autoloader.

Why, why, why do folks still go low road on Abbey? I've had way too many games lately where half the team goes there and by the time they come out the other side the enemy, taking the middle and the west, have already started capping and killed everyone else.

Even though the maps in this game are fanciful, high ground and terrain are still key. The low road can't influence anything but itself (and no, that little area where you can come up the middle doesn't count). Meanwhile, the middle can see both bases and part of west and the west can influence the middle. You own those two you win this map, hands down.

Hmm, on Abbey I quite often go east side (with a heavy) - a good push there can quickly break through on the other side. I find it quite effective. On the other hand I rarely see a decisive push on the west...

Of course it shouldn't be half a team - lets say 4-5 tanks max

Today in the hetzer I had two cases where I had a tank in my sight, whole sight was within the tank frame and the 105mm round went right through the tank and exploded on the other side. First time i was not 100% sure but the second time I am certain.

Annoying little bug.

Can we never have an arty focused event again, please? I was quite enjoying the 0-1 arty average per game I was getting since the last patch. This 3-4 nonsense that's reminiscent of the olden days has just made the average WoT player even more chickenshit than they normally are. I like to move and stuff in games, not hide behind fake-rocks-you'll-never-see-IRL-because-they-need-them-for-how-broke-arty-is.

Hiding behind a rock in my Comet, with an enemy KV-3 on the other side, a JP comes up behind me to advance, I tell him there is a KV-3 around the rock, so he drives forward and exposes his side to him, KV-3 tracks him, forcing me to swing around the KV-3 kill his supporting 3001P and hurt the KV as much as possible, manged to get around the rock again after the KV killed the JP, he comes around the corner and kills me, we still won but had the JP listened we would have both survived. and both the KV and 3001P would have been dead.

- tank horn will most likely not return

The two things I saw that caught my eye were 1) they're going to nerf the derp M4 and Pz IV and 2) the upcoming medium Soviet premium will be a prototype of the T-44. The former is long overdue and the latter has me both excited and worried. I'm excited that they'll finally be introducing more high tier premium mediums. I'm worried because that blog mentioned this premium T-44 would have an 85mm gun. The 85mm guns in the Soviet tree right now are all far too weak to be used on a tier 8.

It bet it'll be like the Panzer V/M10 in that it'll be a fast-reloading DPM machine that you'll need to spit gold to do a lot of damage.

I understand how the sighting system works in this game but it still annoys me. On Siegfried Line I come over that crest in the north to spot 2 heavies capping our base. That puts me... 200 m from them? I can't spot one, tracked, and then killed. Given what we can see in the game how in the world do I not spot a high tier heavy with horrible camo ratings at 200 m with no real vegetation in the way? :glare:

Eh... I hope they don't try that. The Panther-M10 works because it's more mobile than a normal Panther with what seemed like better armor*. I'm not seeing how a T-44 proto will have those characteristics. Also, the best Soviet 85mm is barely better than the gun on the Panther-M10.

Oh well, they're supposed to be adding high tier premium mediums for most of the nations (if not all?) so there will likely be decent alternatives if they screw up the Soviet one.

* Not confirmed, but given the amount of gold flying on the test server I was bouncing shots like crazy... which doesn't happen at any time in a normal Panther against normal rounds.

Armour models are identical according to gamemodels3d, other than the lack of cupola. The sheet metal addons don't count as spaced armour. Oddly enough I noticed it had identical view range, even without the commanders cupola

Maybe the armor homogenisation factor is different?

Speaking of, is the above still in the game? Some of the last posts of the WoTArmory led me to believe it was when certain tanks were much more armored than the math said they would be. Still, it's been a couple months since they closed down.

Premium T-44 will be tier 7, ZiS-S-53 gun (around 120mm pen) stock, 75/60/40 hull and 115/75/60 turret armor.

Premium T-44 will be tier 7

I stopped right there. If that's the case there's no reason to get it if one is looking to replace another tier 8 premium as a farming vehicle. They need to introduce more tier 8 premium mediums along the lines of the 59.

Also, if that's the gun being used the Panther-M10 is still a better choice.

I would say (speaking as a player) that there is nothing magical about Tier 8 and that it is pretty loaded with Premiums at the moment. Tier 7 Premium with reduced matchmaking would be logical (and thanks to mobility I expect from the thing I guess it would be easy to outmaneuve things you cannot penetrate frontally).

compared to Panther/M10, less penetration, more Alpha...

After all, Type at Tier 8 also doesn¨t have that fenomenal gun in comparison to other Tier 8 tanks.

It's not as good for grinding though, as AT 15A and the warcrime show

Had a good game in my GW-100 yesterday on serene coast (although we almost ran out of time :glare: ). Hit an M103 who thought he was in arty cover for 1000dmg :D The_chieftain's right, tracks are the most important bit of an arty

Elited and sold my JP last night, great TD and will miss it. Focusing on the M12 and SU-8 for the moment, as well the Comet, Black Prince and Tiger II. finding the Type T-34 rather a poor performer.

Secret developer's tool leaked!

On the let side, SerB can select a nickname of the player he wishes to "take care of" - on the right side he has following options:

- put the player to a noob team

- put the player to the bottom of the team

- make the player play against pros

- make the shells disappear (?)

- no penetrations

- reduce XP income

- reduce credit income

- make the player stuck

- when playing arty, put the player on city maps

- Malinovka forever

And on the right side:

- damage dealt (reduced by 2, 3, 4....)

- chance of fire (50 percent plus...)

- chance of player module getting critted (the ticker under it means "crit your gun module first")

- chance of player's crewmember dying (the ticker under it means "kill the gunner first")

And under it, the ultimate ticker:

"Remove player from this list automatically when he pays for premium account"

The point, as Max H mentioned, is earning potential. Currently tier 8s are the best by far with the Type 59 by some accounts being the best credit earner in the game.

After all, Type at Tier 8 also doesn¨t have that fenomenal gun in comparison to other Tier 8 tanks.

It doesn't, but that's because WG continues to release new vehicles which ignore old standards for penetration and damage from when the game was released. Compared to the old tanks (T-44, P2, Pershing) the gun on the Type 59 is phenomenal when viewed in total with the other characteristics of the tank (auto-bounce turret and mobility). As such, while most premiums languish near the bottom in win % compared to same tier and type vehicles the Type 59 was once challenging the top spot for tier 8 mediums (as of the end of last year as shown in Snib's stats posts*).

If WG releases more mediums but they're lower tier and not capable of making credits like the 59 they're not solving anything. I'll pass on them just like I passed on the Panther-M10. Either fix the 59 so it can be sold again or release more tier 8s so there's choices.

* Sadly, he's no longer updating any of them. It's a shame as no other source I've found did as thorough a job of breaking down the numbers as he did.

I just plain suck at the type 59, so much so that I only run it when more or less forced to. I much prefer running the Lowe or M6 heavies and lately I've been running that Super Pershing a fair amount to help level my T69 crew.
