A few comments:

 

- I thought the tanks sent to USA had been built as "pattern" vehicles (Svirin states this in his books) and were of superior quality.

- The air filter was not maintained properly and that is why it caused the engine failure.

- Christie suspension is "reliable".

As I mentioned before: this is NOT what the Americans found, it is what Soviet intelligence told at home that it was what the Americans had found. I would like to see the real American report, and compare!

 

The episode about the air filter is telling: That document certainly meant bad news for the design team ("designed by a traitor" you know wat that meant under Stalin!), even though it was apparently not the fault of the designers, but those who should have maintained them (or those who were to provide them with spare parts and tools to do that).

What I meant is that they are different reports, this is why the link was provided when it was first uploaded to that blog.
