Do We Want To Win The War Against Islamism, Part Deux

Three members of an alleged IS cell with plans to conduct an attack in Düsseldorf were arrested in North Rhine-Westphalia, Baden-Württemberg and Brandenburg today. The Prosecutor General's Office states that the cell of four Syrians, aged 25 to 31, intended to detonate two suicide vests on Heinrich-Heine-Allee in the NRW state capital, then open fire with rifles and use more explosives. Two suspects had allegedly joined the IS in Syria in early 2014 and got their mission from the command level. In May 2014 they went to Turkey, and from thence to Germany via Greece in March and July 2015 respectively. A third cell member who had previously made explosive vests and grenades for al-Nusra in Syria since 2013 had already travelled to Germany in October 2014. By January 2016, they had also recruited the fourth member. However, on 1 February one of the original duo gave himself up to French authorities in Paris, and the plot unraveled.

I'm so glad that thanks to fraking, the KSA can no longer set oil prices. And so in a hundred years that collection of stupid savages will be living in tents herding camels and cutting each others heads off again, and the word will be better.

The Danish contingent would have to confirm, but the fact that all I can find about this leads through various anti-Muslim websites and the Donald Trump sub-reddit  to a Danish news report and another which don't mention any Muslim involvement at all to be quoted, and another which quotes a guy with an Arab name stating that it's a tradition in the area to attack the high school graduate corso, makes me believe this is your typical youth group warfare spun out of control rather than Islamism, similar to Cologne's "prom war" which recently ended up with two graduates seriously injured. Of course if we're talking about enmity between urban neighborhoods, there might be a social component which could include a concentration of immigrants living in underclass areas, like in the French banlieus.

"OK Mohammed. So, we detonate our suicide vests THEN start shooting? Got it."

Why is this connected to Trump? and Trump to Anti Muslim web sites? But you can link to Danish news? So, no facts for the former but the damage is already done, right?

Don't know how it's connected to Trump, but my search for sources first led me to the sub-reddit where the video was posted multiple times, from thence to an English-language anti-Muslim website with a Danish net address, and from there to the first Danish news report as well as to Pamela Geller's website, which referenced all three abovementioned Danish reports and, in a circular fashion, the Trump sub-reddit.

Syrian Refugee Charged With Assault and Battery After Grabbing Girl in Massachusetts Swimming Pool

A Massachusetts judge has set a $25,000 cash bail for a Syrian refugee charged with indecent assault and battery on a victim under 16.

Emad Hasso, 22, allegedly harassed and grabbed a 13-year-old girl repeatedly on Thursday in a swimming pool until a lifeguard intervened, according to the Lowell Sun:

Prosecutor Sam Miller said that around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, the 13-year-old Lowell girl was at the Raymond Lord Memorial Pool at the North Common Park in Lowell when she said a man approached her, touched her upper thigh and asked her age.

The girl told him she was too young for him and walked away, Miller said.

The man, who was later identified as Hasso, allegedly began to follow the girl around the pool and approached her again when she was swimming, touching her upper thigh and again asking her age.

The girl responded that she was a “little kid, leave me alone,” Miller said.

Other people at the pool, including the lifeguard, saw some of the interaction between Hasso and the alleged victim, and intervened, Miller said.

Police said the incident may have been captured on video security cameras at the pool.

Hasso was imported into the U.S. only two months ago at taxpayer expense, who are on the hook for additional court expenses, including an interpreter. It’s unknown if Hasso is employed.

The Lowell assault comes on the heels of a hideous sex attack perpetrated by Iraqi and Sudanese refugees who stripping a white 5-year-old girl naked, urinated on her clothes and in her mouth, and filmed her torment in Twin Falls, Idaho.

“He was likely resettled by the same federal contractor, U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (the federal contractor in Lowell), wanting a toe-hold in your towns. USCRI is in charge of Twin Falls, Idaho too,”
refugee resettlement watchdog Ann Corcoran wrote at Refugee Resettlement Watch. “What are the odds that this guy is going to become an upstanding American citizen? An afterthought: So is this the contractor’s fault for not telling their new charges that this sort of behavior is illegal in America?”

Anti-jihad activist Pamela Geller also condemned the Lowell assault in fierce terms: “Pool sex attacks are rampant in Europe. Pool sex crimes in Germany are rampant. Widespread sexual pool assaults in Sweden have been by ‘unaccompanied refugee children.’ Things are so bad in Austria, Muslim refugees have been banned from public pools. And now Obama and his party of treason and destruction are insuring the same fate for our daughters, sisters, wives.”

The Obama administration is rushing to import thousands more Muslim foreigners onto U.S. soil under the Syrian refugee resettlement program, dumping 100 per day into American communities.

Pew poll on European attitudes towards Muslims and other minorities against the backdrop of the recent refugee crisis. Interestingly, those countries who have taken in most refugees are least worried about the economic impact (Germany 31, Sweden 32 percent) while those who refused to take in any are most worried (Hungary 82, Poland 75 percent), but fear of increased likelihood of terrorism is more evenly high; here, Southern Europeans (Greece 55, France 46, Spain 40 percent) and the UK (52 percent) are least worried.

There seems to be some correlation in negative views of minorities overall. Greeks stand out with 67 percent against Roma, 65 against Muslims and 55 against Jews. There are also relatively high anti-semitism numbers in Hungary (32 percent), Italy and Poland (24 each), rather low ones in the Netherlands (four percent), Sweden and Germany (five each). The former also have widely unfavorable views of Muslims at 72, 69 and 66 percent respectively, while the latter are less critical at 35, 35 and 29 each.

In Austria a jihad preacher from Bosnia has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for convincing people to join daesh and inciting people to commit murders and coercion. Another culprit from chechenya got ten years.

If the death penalty were re-introduced in Austria, (extremely unlikely), then he could still have lots of years to preach his evil.

Look at the US system. Now ~190 months (>15 years) between conviction and execution.

it might be worth mentioning that "Gypsies or Roma" in the UK may elicit the same response, but they're entirely different groups. "Gypsies" are overwhelmingly of itinerant Irish descent. In fact, I've not seen travellers of any other type for decades.

"Romanians" are known for criminal activity in cities, but whether they are "Roma" or not is not considered important. They're the pickpockets and do the money laundering thing with the cheap car washes, presumably to wash drug or trafficking money.

In my hometown in Spain gypsies run the local drug traffic, own several brothels and were rumored to be very active in trafficking women from Eastern Europe and forcing them to work in those establishments. Model citizens.

My mom was a public school teacher... The stories she has about gypsy school kids and their families....

I have been off-line for a couple of weeks, so have not seen this before.

The Muslim involvement is at this point not proven fact, though a number of indicators point in that direction. I have not heard of any results from the police investigation yet, and would be a bit surprised if any will be had, actually.

We do know the acid attack took place in an area with a significant Muslim presence. It took place on a Friday right after the local imam had taken the opportunity to speak out against any form of celebrations especially on Fridays during the Ramadan. And contrary to the quote from the guy with the Arab name, there is absolutely no tradition for attacking the student celebrants. Quite the reverse, in fact, as people often treat students to a round of beer during the week after graduation if they show up in their traditional student cap (something I got a lot of mileage out of myself back in the day). If such a violent tradition has been started, it seems to be quite localized and so far the only examples so far involve either Muslim students or (so far unknown) assailants in areas with high numbers of Muslim inhabitants.

Using acid to attack young females who drive around openly consuming alcohol, listening to music and probably showing a bit of leg, is something that suggests Pakistani inspiration. By a strange coincidence, the acid attack took place at Husum station, which is in the middle of the greatest concentration of Pakistani immigrants (Brønshøj).

Ah, but re-introducing the death penalty hardly equals necessarily adopting the odd way it is handled in the US.

Not a good choice for the current situation. Those being shoot in the painting are patriots that rebelled against foreign invaders.

The liberals in Europe, including Austria, are worse than those in the USA. A reintroduction of the death penalty (again, extremely unlikely), would make the actual carrying out of the sentence a very prologued and delayed affair.
