I'm always dubious when the outrage clickbait has been obviously edited.

Agreed. You don't want to make a judgement on such limited data. This is a good policy no matter what your political beliefs, pro or anti cop, pro maga or antifa, Democrat or Republican, Whig or Federalist.

10:1 says the officer probably just wanted to de-escalate the situation, waited for Terrio (who has priors and is a controversial figure) to do something that appeared to be criminal, and then take him in to be released later.

She touched him without consent. The police saw it and did nothing.

He tried taking her hands off of him. The police saw it and arrested him.

@Murph, thoughts?

From the video I saw, she was inciting violence, she also touched him, so she should have been arrested for incitement to riot.  I do not think he did anything wrong, but it is DC and he is an evildoer in DC, so no matter what the provocation, he will get arrested.  I notice he has already been released.

Has anyone noticed the massive protests, the pallets of bricks, the shrieking crowds are no longer there, now that the money from USAID has been cut off?  A typical protest is 5-10 people?  Could there be a cause and effect of suddenly the money no longer being there?

Partly that, but also its a long time to the next midterm elections. Expect elevated brownshirt activity beginning around September 2026.

Assuming enough bad actors have enough funds or aren't rotting in prison.

As he eyes mulls a future gubernatorial run, U.S. Rep. Ritchie Torres renewed a request Wednesday with state and federal officials to launch an investigation into the state's $9 billion home care contract that's come under fire for accusations of bid-rigging.

Torres re-upped an initial request for a probe into Gov. Kathy Hochul's administration's awarding a $9 billion contract to company Public Partnerships LLC to oversee the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program, which gives self-directed home care to about 280,000 elderly and disabled people and allows them to choose their caregivers.

"It has been brought to light that the Hochul administration has handed a de facto sole-source contract — under the guise of Medicaid reform, with only the illusion of competitive bidding — to PPL while at the same time receiving consultation about Medicaid reform from PCG, whose executives just happen to have a 25% ownership interest in PPL," the congressman wrote to state Inspector General Lucy Lang and the inspector general of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Between his overt support for NY Jews and his questioning of Medicaid contract bid rigging, I wish I had some life insurance on Rep. Torres.

I saw mention of a recent poll wherein more than 70% of Americans fully support Israel. If fairly accurate, that would seem to imply that the antisemites will fail to gain ground in the US.

In the 1960s, when the predominantly student SDS types failed to gain ground with Middle America, they got violent.

"If they won't agree with us, we'll kill em."

Yeah, that checks out with their philosophy.

As usual with today "journalists" they will just google first pic of the thing, because who cares about it being unrelated to the rest of the text.

A prominent national law firm that donates prolifically to Democrats attacked its own client, Kansas attorney general Kris Kobach (R.), and withheld work product from the Republican’s office after he fired the firm for subpar performance, in what Kobach’s office viewed as a major ethical breach by a firm recently sanctioned for using AI software to write legal briefings.

Of course, Kobach was an idiot for hiring a deep blue law firm.

The 13-year-old son of Rebekah Jones, who claimed she was fired for refusing to manipulate state Covid-19 data while working in Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ state Health Department, was arrested Wednesday for allegedly threatening a shooting at a middle school.

The boy, whom CNN is not naming because he is a minor, was charged with written or electronic threats to kill, do bodily injury, or conduct a mass shooting or an act of terrorism, a second-degree felony, according to a warrant issued by the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office.

Rebekah Jones has been losing case after case in court. This one looks ugly.

USAID funding cuts have had a major effect upon DNC activist protests.

Short of a small number of folks who pay their own way...

They're not getting the organizers.
There's no buses to haul activists.
There's no PAY for the activists.
There's no money for the pre-made signs.
