What sad is the kid is more likely to get taken away for the parents not going along with having their gender changed, than the parents doing it to the kid. We live in clown world. We went from gay marriage to this in the span of how many years? The slippery slope is not a fallacy, it is a fundamental law of the universe. Have never heard the following on the major media, only Moody Radio; there is a great number of "transgender children/teens" going back to normal after a short time. If they continue to buy into the liberal lies of transgenderism, they suffer greatly from mental issues. Those who went the whole way and had 'gender reassignment surgery" more often than not wish they had not done it. The most dangerous threat to the U.S. is liberalism, in our still great country, aka as socialism! What exactly does a four year old kid know a about anything?? I had four year old kids; they couldn't make trustworthy decisions on what to eat for snack without risking poisoning, malnutrition, and barfing on their bed. At that age they are completely dependent upon their family and designees to provide structure and boundaries. What seems to be happening is that children are being encouraged in certain directions because it allows their parents to feel good about themselves. If a four year old can even entertain the concept of sexuality it means it's been brought into their world long before they are capable of handling it. Since data suggests that many if not a majority of teenagers and young adults who believe that they are trans actually turn out to be gay (and adjust much better to the world if they are simply gay) I wonder at the gay community that is watching gay teenagers (again, 4 years old is way too young to have a clue) being brainwashed into believeing that they should live as the opposite gender instead of living as a gay member of their actual sex. Same for men to women. It's insane, you don't indulge a mentally ill persons delusions, and that is exactly what is happening. You would never tell an anorexic they are fat even though that is how they see themselves, you would never tell a schizophrenic to listen to the voices. Yet now they are telling people who want to chop off their genitals because they have the delusion that they are a different sex that it is perfectly normal, and we engage in their delusion by telling them they are the sex they believe they are. It's written by a Nobel Prize winning neuroscientist. Every chapter focused on a condition or family of related conditions and explained what we knew about them (what causes them, treatments that work, any promising treatments in the pipeline, etc.). What was... interesting... was near the end of the book he mentioned the issue of gender identity (pretty sure it was gender identity). It was interesting to note that what we understand about it shows it has the same cause as many of these other illnesses/conditions touched on in the book - a deviation/error in the normal development of the fetus. It was notable that throughout the book every other illness/condition was followed with discussion of how we could treat or fix it but when it came to the gender identity bit there was this disconnect about how it was somehow... fine as is. It's not like he was arguing that position from a standpoint that one could live with it just fine throughout life unlike many of these other conditions. That chapter treated the subject the same as the others, looked at it from a hard science 'this is what causes it and this is how it deviates from normal function/development' and simply left it alone. As I said... a definite disconnect from the rest of the book (though I applaud the author for at least touching on it given how sensitive/PC the issue is today).
