What's the best way to ship (by air, courier service) a built model, a 1/35 tank, so it arrives at the recipient's address, intact? Thanks.

Get loads of foamrubber or even better those polystyrene beads that can often be found in mailorder packets, make sure to fill well beneath and around the vehicle, seperate turret and hull if possible, then fill the rest of the box to the rim. The kit will "float" on the soft polystyrene which will in turn effectivly cushion any hard movements. Pack any small and unattached parts in a small ziplock bag or so and tape it to the inside the hull.

I transported some 40 brand new built 1/72 planes by tight public transport in several boxes this way last year, not a single broken aerial, propeller or mg.

Thanks Le T. BTW, did you double box it? ISTR reading a packaging/shipping tip out there many many eons ago, and IIRC it made use of a double container, the first inner one containing the model, then placed inside a larger box that had foam bits all around it for added protection.

Ok, this must have been the daily commercial break i guess....

They were only single boxed since i had to use every available box i had to get them all packed. Double boxing does sound like a good idea though, but do make sure that the inner box also has its share of foam inside.
