Ivanhoe
If you want compact/subcompact and 9mm, Kahr seems to own that niche with the PM9 and P9 Covert (no longer in production, but can be made from a P9 using a hacksaw on the grip). The gold standard is the Rohrbaugh R9, but it is quite spendy.

Colin
Interesting, another .6" barrel length and it would be legal in Canada. Although the price would be in the $1400 range.

Nailcreek
I agree wholeheartedly that taking a class is necessary (and I plan to do so in the very near future) ... while I currently have the appropriate license to CC in Wisconsin, I also want to fully understand the law and the responsibilities which come with the right to carry. I've been extremely careful not to find myself in locations where being armed would be appropriate, but there have been times where being able to carry would have been a bit more comforting. My brother-in-law has been pestering me to shoot a IPSC course, which I might just do so now ...
Scott Cunningham
I have a Kel-Tek P3AT. Its a tiny .380 and it fits in my front pocket. It means I have a gun on me almost all the time and nobody can even tell. I have a small pocket sleeve holster that prevents the pistol from printing through the jeans, and protects it from lint and other crap, but stays put in the pocket when I draw the pistol out. I have plenty of regular guns from .32 to .45 to .357, but they are all big. This one is tiny and its easy to carry and increases the chances I'll actually have a gun when I need it instead of nothing at all.

Presumably, he carries it in a pocket holster--the only way to pocket carry; if one values their jewels.----That "forget you're carrying" thing can come back to bite. Recently, I nearly carried my CCW onto a charter bus, going from B'ham to NOLA for a cruise. Fortunately, I overheard the driver mention security at the port and remembered. I cringe to think of the embarrassment and trouble I could have been in...
Simon Tan
There is nothing funnier than watching a guy shoot with 4 mouseguns, executing NY reloads as each runs dry.

Living in Florida and being dressed for the daily sauna, I had to go with a .380. I chose the Magnum Research Micro Eagle. It is all metal and i picked up a holster for it that looks just like a phone case for a large cell phone. It keeps it on my belt and i can go with shirt tucked or untucked and it is completely hidden.

Simon Tan
The Rohrbaughs are really nice little miceguns. They are designed by a orthopedic surgeon!
