Oh, as a pistol round? Sounds...decent, especially for walking around. As a rifle...meh.

.45 Colt sounds interesting, though never had a chance to play. .45 Schoefield sounded good, though no idea why it was unpopular...fire from a .45 Colt, unless your shooting wild boar...why care in the difference? Even then.

I think I was moved to tears ...almost...on not EVER even seeing a Colt SAA yet live.

I could get hit by a buss tomorrow.

Then there was this combination weapon for spaceship crews for case of landing out of civillisation - a double-barelled shotgun (40 gauge?) plus 5.45mm ball barrel, all single shot. Ah, TP-82.

TP-82. Beauty. Would beg, borrow or steal to own one.

TP-82

2 x shotgun barrels side-by-side and single 5.45mm barrel below.

12.5x70mm shotgun ammo is specific for this pistol, 32g brass case but hot loaded, comparable to 20g in effectiveness, 20g of small N3 shot. Can use standard 32g in a pinch.

5.45x40mm ammo is based on 5.45x39 (which can be used if needed) but with "increased expansion" round (early soft point was used).

Accessories:

11 x SP-P 5.45x40mm

10 x SP-D 12.5x70mm shotgun

5 x 12.5x70mm SP-S signal flares

Stock can be used as a machete.

Well, he could get a good old boy customs agent who'd send him to his gun club for some fun times. Get the right cop and you'll get regaled with all sorts of neat info. One friend of mine had a car full of guns and the State Patrolman didn't give him a ticket because he was too happy to put a few rounds into the embankment on the side of the road from the various suppressed weapons.

Ryan, Doug - I am stone cold sober, not on drugs or medication. I literally have two tears on my chins. Literally means there are two recognizable globules of my eye juice on my chins. PROPER tears. I did manage half that for my dads ashes or my daughters birth. After almost losing her.

My sons birth was half a tear.

Please, it is NOT joke. I shoot. I know...weapons, but HANDGUNS are my...thing. I can shoot them right. Seriously, me not shooting is torture. My EX wife has paid for an almost unheard of postal prescription from Serbia for my favorite Serbian mag to London. She's in Serbia. I'm in London. We might not even be talking.

I've shot things you put in hands since eight. Dad did not like me shooting, I shoot rifles - things with long sights and stocks - a crap load better than most REALLY good good accredited people. That I could out shoot with an PAP(SKS to you) in iron sights when they shot sniper rifles.

At night. Against his friends.

Look, I know I'm...WRONG...on many levels. God, the last round I fired was from a PPK from an idiot criminal who wanted me to show him how to use it, and stuff...and was pointing it at me.

Move your ass and your family to the US. Seriously. I know I'm joking about it above but it's also serious and I know a lot of folks they've made the move and they're happier. Many of them come from commonwealth nations and are FAR happier to be able to work and play with firearms almost unfettered by nonsense laws and limits and regulations.

You could come here, reload ammo and shoot IPSC/IPDA to your heart's content and properly raise your kids. And of course part of those guns is about the freedom to actually defend your family when the shit hits the fan (writ large or small). In most states, once you get your permanent residence you can get a license to carry and own as you see fit.

I know what going to the range and focusing on sight picture, target and shooting a whole bunch does for nerves and for stress relief.

+1 to what Ryan said, Maxx. I'd be honored to shoot with you (I'd likely learn some things, too).

Learn FROM me? Damn, I'd be honoured to learn from you chaps. I'm just an enthusiast that likes "boom". Hell of a lot more impressive people out there - Olympic level shooting 20'000 rounds a MONTH in the lane next to me place just by watching. Had my eyes operated on, so my sight is good and had the luck to pick up a bit from REALLY REALLY BRILLIANT people that taught professionals how to shoot. Mostly how to breath on the trigger, and how to hold the grip properly.

Kids out there doing air rifle can shoot like demons in comparison to me. Embarrassing having an eight year old leave you the dust by orders of magnitude.

Though I could teach you how to lay land mines, and make self igniting Molotov's from simple home ingredients.

Walk your clownish self down to the US embassy (or their website I guess) and figure out what you need to get the process started. We'll get you hooked up with a DNR range, gun club or indoor range and get you shooting on a weekly basis in no time.

The US isn't too keen on letting desirable types with educations, skills, english language and sound, non-extremist political beliefs in unfortunately.

I knew a few guys, young, fit infantry types trying to transfer to the US military after 9/11 to get their war on, couldn't do it.

Wear an "re-elect Obama" button that should help get you in and then toss it in the dustbin. If you come through Vancouver, I can get you out as well.

As much as I love the FAL, this is a pistol to far.

Theres your problem. The US views veterans(domestic and foreign) as "dangerous RW extremists" just ask the DHS. <_<

So AQ gets Russian former Muslim killers that they hate for a few pounds daily because Russia will not give a toss enough to feed the kids of killers only good for - and trained for - killing, these guys get to mad in London with stupid crap, but there is no Foreign Legion EVEN, for foreigner scum that will never settle?

No offence, not looking to enlist or to become a US anything...as long as life permits, will visit a few of you, though...screw money...but that policy seems...silly.

You paid former Chechnya SPETZNAZ or OMON $50 weekly, they would eat their own grandmothers for you.

That's how most Russian - by way of a Secret Service NOT the KGB or in any way, shape, or form EVER in its history involved in criminal activity - are bragging here, telling me London is easy to steal in, and they did not like stealing in Russia.

Get a better policy. Shit, rent MF'ers and tell them they will never be allowed to SEE the US.

Cool looking, but too big as a pistol, and too small as a rifle.

SBRs or rifle caliber pistols DO carry a certain authority but by loosing barrel length you DO loose some velocity with the loss of barrel. What is it....200fps/inch of barrel or something?

Those Mares Legs are however neat because they're starting to be made new like that which means they ARE pistols and are not SBRs. :) If I was more of a Cowboy shooting iron type, I'd get one of those. I'd probably make a pretty good car gun if a bit loud and flashy when firing it.

But what you lose in MV, you gain in flash and report...

----

Colin, that's...just...criminal...especially if they are bubba-ing full-size rifles. If they are new-build, it's not quite as bad, but every bit as stupid.
